Kindergarten•The percentage of students that will successfully read and retell a grade level text will increase by 10% as measured by the DRA2.•Desired Outcome - 54% in 2006-2007 to 64% in 2007-2008.•Result - 62% at benchmark in June 2008.

Grade 1•The percentage of students that will independently comprehend grade level text will increase by 15% from fall to spring as measured by the DRA2.•Desired Outcome - 43% in September 2007 to 58% in June 2008.• Result - 63% of all 1st grade students were at or above benchmark in June 2008.

Grade 2•The percentage of students that will independently apply comprehension strategies while reading grade level text will increase by 10 percent from fall to spring as measured by the DRA2. • Desired Outcome - 60% in September 2007 to 70% in June 2008.• Result - 77% of students at or above benchmark June 2008.

Grade 4•The percentage of students that will reach goal on the on the reading portion of the 4th grade CMT will increase 10% from the percentage at goal on last year’s 3rd grade CMT. •Desired Outcome - 56% in grade 3 to 66% in grade 4. • Result – 55% of students scored at or above goal on the 4th grade CMT. •57% of the students that were present in both grades 3 & 4 scored at or above goal. • 45% scored at goal on the 4th grade mastery test in 2007 as compared to 55% in 2008.

Mathematics Objective The percentage of students in grades 2-4
that will successfully communicate their solutions and reasoning to mathematical application problems will increase by 13 percentage points as measured by the CMT and district assessments.
70% of all students in grades 2-4 will demonstrate proficiency on the end of the year district assessment.
70% of students in grades 3&4 will reach goal on the math application strand of the CMT.
