“We are hoping to reverse diabetes in the experimental group. People with diabetes get very sick very young and require a lot of treatment. It’s a fast downward spiral ending in renal failure. If we’re successful, the Marshall Islands government has every intention of setting up an intervention program. We must convince them that they can save an awful lot of money by doing so.”
