Memorial Day
Dear Marley Elementary Families,
The month of May is upon us! The weather is gradually becoming warmer, flowers are blooming, and we are entering the home stretch. You can be assured that Marley’s staff is committed to teaching and engaging students up until the very last day of school. Teachers are planning project-based lessons and activities that sure to spark students’ imagination and make learning truly magical.
PARCC testing has begun for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. This annual standardized test is administered to assess students’ knowledge and mastery of grade level content. Although there is no way to study for such an assessment, we encourage students to work hard and put forth optimal effort. You can assist your child by being certain that he or she gets plenty of rest and encouraging him or her. Additionally, please be sure your child arrives to school on time each day of testing. We appreciate your support in this area.
The month of May is a very busy time. Please take time to review the monthly calendar for other important events occurring this month. You certainly do not want to miss out.
Mrs. Williams and I are appreciative of your partnership as we work together to provide a magical learning experience for every Marley student. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us as we are committed to working with each and every family!
Sincerely,
Tamara Kelly- Molock – Principal

Dismissal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The office staff is requesting that all dismissal changes be made
before 3:15pm. Marley Elementary is a very large school and
when multiple changes come into the office during dismissal, it
can become very confusing for the students and faculty. Please
send a written note or call the office before 3:15pm so they can
accommodate your request. Class DoJo is a great form of com-
munication, however if a dismissal change is made to the teacher
and they have a substitute, the office may not receive the
change. It is also important that we use ONE dismissal plan. When
the children are having to ride a bus one day, and then they are a
car rider the next day, they can become quite confused. We are
here to ensure each child arrives home safely and with your help
we can make that happen.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and wiliness to help
with this request,
Your Office Staff!
If your child is not in school for any reason, please send a note to the teacher. If a student is out of school for 3 or more consecutive days due to illness, a doctors not will be required to excuse the absence.
