MARKETING INTERN Contact: Cindy Noel, [email protected] The Marketing Intern is an active and multifaceted position on the Anderson Ranch marketing team—providing design and production support in the creation of advertising, print publications, digital and social media marketing materials and public relations initiatives. This is an excellent chance to learn, grow and build a portfolio showcasing an important arts organization, and to be fully immersed in the entire Anderson Ranch experience. This is a very busy, exciting and important position. The Marketing Intern also assists with events throughout the summer, including the Annual Recognition Dinner (Thursday, July 20, 2017), Annual Art Auction & Community Picnic (Saturday, August 5, 2017), and Lunchtime Auctionettes on (most) Fridays, June – August). Graphic Design Skills: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Adobe Lightroom and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in Mac-based environment. Ability to work with existing templates in InDesign, Photoshop, and other software, to provide multiple creative solutions, to create original content with guidance, while also being open to critiques, suggestions and input from others during the design/creative process. A passion for art, art making and storytelling. Video editing experience is a plus! Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work both in a team setting, as well as independently. Self- starter. Must be a strong communicator, both verbally and written. Flexible mindset, the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic and highly organized. Extremely detail oriented—solid proofreading skills are a plus. Software and Tech Skills: Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency with major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo and YouTube. MailChimp e- newsletter creation and list management. Blog content creation. Familiarity with website content management systems, specifically Wordpress and basic website editing. Timeframe: Mid-May through August. Dates are flexible. Compensation: This is an unpaid position. Lunch at the Ranch Café is provided. Application Process: A portfolio of graphic design work and a writing sample are required for consideration, along with a CV and graduation date.
