Concept Overview: Concept Overview:

The WKYS Blue Print 3 to Jigga’s Jewels was a two week on air promotional contest that utilized appointment listening to give out three clues per day to the listening audience to play for a chance to win the grand prize of “Jigga’s Jewels”.

The creation of this promotion was inspired by the recent release of Jay Z’s album The Blue Print 3.

The entire promotion was created and executed on a $0 budget; as all items were secured via trade negotiations.

The Grand Prize: The Grand Prize:

The “Jigga’s Jewels” prize pack consisted of tickets to see the Jay Z concert in Baltimore on Tuesday October 27th, Jay Z’s new cologne, and a $10,500 men’s diamond bracelet.

Game / Event Overview: Game / Event Overview:

To play, listeners had to log onto www.kysdc.com to print out The WKYS Blue Print 3, which was a map of our city. During the run of the promotion, participants had to listen to WKYS everyday at 11:24a.m., 3:24p.m., and 7:24p.m. to hear the Blue Print 3 clue of the day.

With the provided clues, the listener had to trace their way throughout the WKYS Blue Print 3 map to find their way to Jigga’s Jewels.

On Monday October 26th we broadcasted live from the “secret location” with “Jigga’s Jewels” to await the winner.

At 3:34 p.m. we announced the final clue of the day and within 20 minutes our winner arrived and won Jigga’s Jewels: a men’s diamond bracelet worth $10,500 ; tickets to see Jay Z in concert, and Jay Z’ new cologne.
