What we need to do…

Reuben J

The brief we were given described our artist as hippy and laid back and that his style of music represented his personality.

Our research involved us finding other well established artists that suit Reuben J’s style. Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz are like our artist in style and music genre.

We didn’t want Reuben J to be too like them as he would be likened to those artists too much. Our aim was to establish his own identity and stand out but still keeping in mind what he represented

before he became known.

The 19 year old has been described to have a strong voice and a unique talent by many. He writes his own work which is alternative/indie which links to the music that is popular now such as

Florence and The Machine and Ellie Goulding. There is a gap in the market for this as there are no new male artists in the music genre that have come forward

.

Marketing

We aim to promote our artist in as many ways as possible but in ways that will portray to potential customers Reuben J’s style.

• Radio air time• Interviews• Gigs• Posters• Magazines• Supporting act• Social networking sites

All these ways of advertising will benefit our act as he will increasingly become known and the fans will increase. Firstly we will be based in the UK to promote him and then our future plans are to go to America and achieve Reuben J’s full potential.

We kept the colour scheme and image coherent as this will portray Reuben J as a natural talent. It also represents his genre of music and style.
