Market Research Results From my results, the responses are primarily 16-20 year olds, which I think is useful as this is around my target demographic and makes the results easier to determine what my target audience would better There was significantly more of a female response from my questionnaire however I don’t think will be a problem or affect my results. The majority of people who responded to my questionnaire often watch music videos which is good for them giving reliable and useful feedback.

From my results, the responses are primarily 16-20 year olds, which I think is useful as this is around my target demographic and makes the results easier to determine what my target audience would better respond to and enjoy.
There was significantly more of a female response from my questionnaire however I don’t think will be a problem or affect my results.
The majority of people who responded to my questionnaire often watch music videos which is good for them giving reliable and useful feedback.
These results show the best way for my music video to be viewed by an audience. As the most common answer was YouTube then I will upload my final product onto there for a chance of reaching more of an audience.
From these results I can gather that Indie is the most popular music genre from my sample. This helps me in knowing what genre I want my music for my video to be so that my audience likes it and is interested in watching the music video.
Adventure was the most popular answer so this is a theme I should explore for my music video to be relevant and enjoyable for my target audience.
The majority of people who did my survey prefer a narrative music video, with this information I now know to make a video with a story so that it appeals to my audience. However I would like to take into consideration the other two types as people did say that they liked these also.
With this result I can construe that people find that music videos are as equally important as the actual song. So with a combination of both a good song and a strong video I feel like I would have a goof final outcome. I would also like to make a video that would change the opinion of the person who answered no.
These results are helpful because they are very informative answers and each individual answer gives me an insight to what some people will find appealing in a music video. Answers such as the setting, dancing and an inspiring story can help me create a piece that is interesting yet enjoyable for the audience.
Knowing what my audience’s favourite music videos are allows me to take inspiration from them to produce something similarly satisfying. It also means I am able to pinpoint what is important about a music video for it to be enjoyed, as seen with my 6th reply.
