In the fat cattle department we had a few unfinished cattle within our TB exempt section, these need TB testing in order to sell in the green section or be sold as store cattle. Having said that many still in the right section to have the buyers fighting over with help from two extra buyers this week. Farmers bringing in cattle please ensure you have filled in a correct entry form to accompany your passports, unload at the correct colour coded docks and have two ear tags. The store catalogue sales resume next week, anyone wishing to enter stock please send your entries by 12 noon Thursday to myself, Ben Shouler or Claire Harrison. Over the next few weeks we have many quality cattle entered ….. Not to be missed! A fabulous show of sheep with some fantastic runs on offer, meat and shape throughout. A roaring trade to match, with no end of hoggs over the £100 mark, carrying a bit of weight. Not a deadweight quotation anywhere to beat this trade, and all weight paid for. After speaking to Barrie Williamson our pig auctioneer and a few important vendors we have decided to hold pig sales as they were before, every first and third Tuesday of the month but also on the fifth Tuesday when it occurs. Just a reminder it’s Horse Sale this weekend with over 400 lots of tack entered and the phone busy with people wanting to sell and buy horses. Tim Webster ALAA, Market Manager
