Ports play an essential role in the logistic chain from production to market.

The Port of Zeebrugge has established a Maritime Logistic Zone as a centre for value-added logistics

inside the port area. Very close proximity to the actual port operations guarantees a fast and competitive

The port of Zeebrugge is ideally located to serve as the gateway to the most prosperous part of Europe,

also known as the “20-40-50 pentagon”. This affluent area covers the industrial and consumer centres

product. In addition, 60% of European purchasing powers is located within a 500 km radius of Belgium.
