Dear customers and friends,

All of us at INTERSCHALT are proud that our Maritime Education & Train-ing Center MET is in operation since September 2007. We had several hundred candidates who successfully completed a variety of courses. Dur-ing that period of time we also added new components and trainings to our portfolio. A large number of well known shipping companies count to our customers and together we con-tribute to an increase of safety on the open sea.In late summer 2008 we put our newly developed engine control room into operation. With that facility we are now able to conduct combined courses for nautical and technical license holders together exercising “Ship Team Management”.In addition we now also offer general courses like “Maritime Basic Know-ledge” and “Basic Ship Technology” for a variety of shore based specia-lists without a maritime background. It is our pleasure to welcome you and your team at MET attending our trai-ning.

We look forward to meet with you in Schenefeld.

Sincerely yours,

Robert GärtnerChief Executive OfficerINTERSCHALT maritime systems AG

Your safety is our mission!

Due to the rapid growth of the maritime industry the demand for highly trained specialists to operate all kinds of vessels around the world is still going strong. About 70,000 ocean going ships and more than 2,200 new ships built annually need to be manned properly according to the interna-tional rules and regulations. To guarantee the necessary skills for officers and crews is one of the biggest challenges of ship operating companies around the world. The INTERSCHALT MET is providing the required trai- ning to meet such educational demands. The heart of the INTERSCHALT MET is a full mission simulation center, which comprises ship handling and engine room simulator and fully equipped IT-class and seminar rooms.

Furthermore all INTERSCHALT products will be on hand for training as well such as:• Electrical engineering and automation systems• Voyage Data Recorders (VDR) • Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS)• The entire product portfolio of INTERSCHALT Software Solutions
