MASS INTENTIONS Giving Thanks At The Top Of Our Voices: We appreciate grateful people very much. Do we ourselves not forget to thank? For many, it is the Lord who is forgot-ten. Look at everything we owe God: our life, our bodies with our eyes to see the marvels of creation and our ears to hear creation's songs. There is all the beauty around us and all the good people to appreciate and love. Above all, God himself has come near to us in Jesus. He brought us repeated forgiveness and the capacity to forgive and to love. Let us thank God and praise him at the top of our voices.

Happy Thanksgiving Day. I am sure that you my brothers and sisters will prepare delicious food for your family this coming Monday. Hours and hours of working in the kitchen preparing different kinds of food that will be eaten in minutes at the dining ta-ble. My first thanksgiving as a priest was fan-tastic. I was invited by a family who prepared turkey, mashed potatoes, salad and many other things. When I saw the turkey I felt so bad be-cause I did not know how to tell them that I do not like chicken or any animal with feathers. So I told the mother and she prepared some-thing else for me. Around the table everyone gave thanks to the Lord and then we enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner. My brothers and sis-ters, today the Church gives us a beautiful Gospel to meditate about our thankfulness. The story of the Gospel is about the ten lepers who were miraculously healed by the Doctor of doctors, Jesus Christ, during his journey to Jerusalem. Jesus who loves everyone healed the ten lepers but only one, just one came back to give thanks. In our society there are some people that after Jesus healed or answered to their request, do not return to give thanks to Him until they are in need again. My dear brothers and sisters, every Sunday is a special celebration, every Sunday is a Thanksgiving and every Sunday those who have faith come together to celebrate the Holy Eucharistic which means Thanksgiving. This coming Monday as soon as you get your Thanksgiving dinner do not forget to give thanks to the Lord. HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY.

Fr. Josue Vargas
