FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER May 7, 2017 Dear Friends, We are just about to start the Month of May, the month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and most beautiful time of the year. Please remember about our Marian Congress May 8- 11 each night at 6:30pm and the May Crowning and parish consecration to Our Blessed Mother on May 13th at 11am on the very day of the 100th anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima. The Marian Congress will consist each night of talks, presentations, prayers, and other activities and preparations for the consecration on May 13. I can’t overstate this enough, but this 100th anniversary is a really big deal and we want to prepare well for it. We have a special priest coming in all the way from Pittsburg for the Marian Congress. It is like a time of parish mission as we celebrate and get ready for the 13th and honor Mary during this month of May. Also, of course the whole month is dedicated to Mother Mary and so we want to really pray with devotion the Holy Rosary and renew our own consecration to Jesus through Mary. If you have never read or put into practice St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary please do so. That devotion, as St. John Paul II attests can make all the difference in our lives and in our world. Lastly, a great way that you could honor Mother Mary is by becoming part of the Legion of Mary we are starting on that same day, May 13th. The Legion of Mary is the biggest and probably the best prayer group there is. Please consider joining! God bless you! Por favor recuerden acerca de nuestro Congreso Mariano del 8 al 11 de mayo cada noche a las 6:30 pm y la Coronación de Mayo y la consagración de nuestra parroquia a Nuestra Santísima Madre el 13 de mayo a las 11 am el mismo día del 100° aniversario de la aparición de Nuestra Señora de Fátima. El Congreso Mariano consistirá cada noche de charlas, presentaciones, oraciones y otras actividades y preparativos para la consagración el 13 de mayo. No puedo exagerar esto, pero este 100 aniversario es un gran evento y queremos prepararnos bien para este evento. Tendremos un sacerdote especial que viene desde Pittsburg para el Congreso Mariano. Es como una misión parroquial mientras celebramos y nos preparamos para el 13 y honrar a María durante este mes de mayo. También, todo el mes de mayo esta dedicado a la Virgen María y por eso queremos rezar con devoción el Santo Rosario y renovar nuestra propia consagración a Jesús a través de María. Esta devoción, que nos enseña en una manera particular San Juan Pablo II, puede cambiar todo en nuestras vidas y en el mundo entero. Por último, una gran manera de honrar a la Virgen María es por formar parte de la Legión de María que comenzaremos ese mismo día, el 13 de mayo. La Legión de María es probablemente el mejor y más grande grupo de oración que existe. Por favor considere unirse! ¡Dios los bendiga! The food pantry operates every Saturday of the month.
Anyone interested in volunteering, please come at 8:30 am!
We are also very much in need of volunteers every Friday
morning to help prepare for the food pantry on Saturday.
This is a truly beautiful ministry, an essential part of living the
Gospel and really helping many in need here in our
community. The Food pantry helps literally hundreds of
families in this area. If you are interested, please call Rosie
Buchan at (575) 309-5040 for further information.
The Food Pantry is currently in need of the following items:
Cereal, Peanut Butter, Mac-n-Chees, Spaghetti Sauce ,
Pasta.
Come and be a part of this incredible ministry and
service to the poor that your parish operates.
Any donations are also greatly appreciated. You can place
items in the baskets in the back of the church or bring them

Ministro Eucarístico, y Lectores, y otros voluntarios que necesitamos Todavía estamos muy seriamente necesitados de ministros eucarísticos para nuestras Misas en español. Por favor, las mismas personas tienen que hacerlo cada semana. Por favor ofrézcase de voluntario. No es difícil y no toma extra de su tiempo para poder hacer este increíble ministerio. Por favor llame a la oficina de la parroquia al 575-763-6947 y deje su nombre y número para que sea entrenado y lo pongamos en el horario. También, necesitamos personas que quieren ser voluntarios para rezar el Santo Rosario antes de la Misa y buscamos mas lectores y monaguíos y sacristanes. Por favor, queremos continuar sirviendo nuestra comunidad hispana pero necesitamos tu ayuda. Todos pueden participar mas y ayudar. Por favor, no les dejen toda la carga a unos cuantos u otros.
Clases de bautismo Estamos muy contentos de celebrar los bautismos aquí en español. Para bautizar aquí tienes que 1) obtener y llenar los papeles, notando que la forma para los padrinos debe ser firmada por su propio párroco. 2) asistir a la clase de bautismo que tenemos aquí en español, por favor llame a la oficina, 575-763-6947, para información acerca de la próxima clase de bautismo.3) Llamar a la oficina, 575-763-6947, para hacer una cita con el Padre Simón o el Diácono Juan. En la cita vamos a trabajar con usted para fijar la fecha del bautismo; las fechas son flexibles. Haremos todo lo posible para programar el bautismo cuando mejor funcione para usted y su familia.
