CELEBRATION of the SANTO NINO

Most Rev. Bishop Oscar A. Solis, DD and local priests will come together to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 7:00pm. The Novena prayers and Chaplet will follow the mass.

We are privileged to have an exact replica of the Infant Jesus of Prague (Santo Nino) clothed in a relic of the Holy Robe that adorns the original statute in the shrine at Prague.

Please bring your own statutes. The devotion of touching them to the Holy Robe will conclude the celebration. Blessing of a Home on the Solemnity of the Epiphany

In many countries, the tradition of blessing your home on the Solemnity of the Epiphany is observed. The traditional way of blessing a home this day begins with the prayer of blessing printed below. Next we use chalk (an incarnational sign because it reminds us of the dust of the earth from which we were made) and holy water. The chalk is used to mark:

over the main doorway of your home. The numerals consecrate the new year. The initials remind us of the legendary names of the magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, and also stand for the Latin motto: Christus mansionem bendicat, which is translated, May Christ bless this house. After marking the doorway, bless individual rooms with holy water.

Lord God of heaven and earth, you revealed your only-begotten Son

to every nation by the guidance of a star. Bless this house and all who inhabit it.

Fill them with the light of Christ, that their concern for others may reflect your love.
