2. Hi,my name's Maria Gaetana Agnesi. I am Pietro Agnesi's daughter.He is a rich man thanks to the silk trade . My father is a professor of Mathematics at Bologna. I had the best teachers that came from Church; I was a good Student, especially in languages.At the age of nine I published a Latin Discourse, I was born on sixteenth of but I didn't write it, I just May 1718 in Milan translated it. 3. In 1738 I published essays on natural science and philosophy. By the age of twenty, I began working on my most important work: Instituzioni analitiche. When my work was published , it caused a sensation in the accademic world. This work was very important for me. 4. Pope Benedict XIV Offered me a charity work in Bologna; I accepted it and after my dads death I devoted myself to ill and abandoned people.I spent all my money for the poor.
