Throughout the entire duration when I lived in the proximity ofGurudev Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj, not even once did I see

Maharajshri solicit anyone, directly or indirectly, for wealth or materialpossessions. The construction of a building was abandoned halfwaythrough, and it remained unfinished for quite some time. Let alonesoliciting, he did not even harbor the desire to accumulate wealthwhen he visited any place. From whatever I can remember aboutmyself, I have never stretched my hands before anyone. Whatever Ireceived from God in a natural way, I sustained myself with that. But itis a sad event today that Maharajshris name and my name is beingused boldly, without any hesitation, to accumulate wealth. Our namesare being used to raise funds. By declaring it to be our blessings and

desire, attempts are being made to accumulate wealth. I wish to makeit crystal clear that if someone has been blessed to undertake a giventask, it is not a sanction for accumulating wealth. Seated in his sadhandham

1, what must be going through Maharajshris mind as he is

watching all this? Even otherwise, running after wealth is contrary tothe rules of spiritual practice. Whatever help someone wishes to offeraccording to his desire and capability, without our asking, is what weshould accept. To sustain oneself with whatever one gets through thenormal course of things, is in accordance to the dharma of spirituality.

Such events cause intense grief in my mind. Sometimes I think thathereafter, I should not participate in any gathering, nor should Imaintain any association and communication with anybody.

Hence, all spiritual aspirants and disciples, do whatever you want, onlyif you wish to do anything as per your faith, sentiment, capability andsituation, without being influenced by my name.
