goal only, and that is to:

accept and understand that

Jesus Christ

died for you.

I’m going to

leave you with

this verse. But

when you read

it, think about

it as if Jesus

saw your im-

perfect life RIGHT

NOW as it is.

“For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only

Son, that whoever believes in

him shall not perish but have

eternal life. 17 For God did not

send his Son into the world to

condemn the world, but to save

the world through him.”

-John 3:16-17(NIV)

So it’s March! It’s time to

spring forward and get into

action. What does that

mean? It means that first:

you have changed your

clocks forward an hour. It

also means that you are

active in your walk with

Christ.

So often we get

caught up in the craziness

of school, work, pursuing

what we define as excel-

lence, that we forget who

gives us the ability to do

so. To be honest, we don’t

even know what it means

to have Jesus Christ active-

ly involved in our daily

lives! Except , of course,

when the occasional “dear

Jesus please can you

_____ Fill in the blank______”

takes place.

This

March, lets’ fast

forward be-

yond the excus-

es and into the

relationship

with Jesus. If

you think you

are already

there, then evaluate your

life. Are you the kind of

person who Jesus IS using

to reach others who, like

you, are hurting, or are

struggling, or are trying to

find themselves? If your

answer is an honest NO,

that’s OKAY. That’s why

we are a church family.

There is one goal, and one

It’s that time of year again!

Youth, it’s time to get in-

formed and get involved!

We will be studying the

verses of 1 Samuel as well

as the book of Mark. De-

tails: April 28th, 5pm, at

Rubidoux Church,.

Make sure that

you have your verses cov-

ered. If you need help,

contact your Youth Lead-

ers. If you want to get in-

volved, or think you

should :) , also contact

your Youth Leaders. This

should be great! Let’s do

our best and let God do

the rest.

Prayer Warriors Project

Easter Program Youth Sabbath, April

28th, is our

Easter pro-

gram. This

means that

for the Di-

vine service,

we will be

doing a play.

We

need TONS

OF HELP.

From set design, to prop

lists, media, to acting,

you name it. We have a

need for YOU! So, if

you want to act, or help

with any other aspect of

the play, please, contact

your Youth Leaders. You

can find a list of their

contact info on the back

of this newsletter.

We are going to

be working on this on

Friday Nights. However

come the first week of

April, we will be practic-

ing immediately after the

service.

Also, start letting

your friends and family

know that they should

come and visit! The play

is going to be great.

Don’t miss it.

These cards will

not consist of your ad-

dress and Soc. Sec. #...

But instead, just a few

avenues to reach you

and a small bit about

you.

And of course, once

We are trying to launch

our Prayer Warriors

Project for Youth Sab-

bath at the end of this

month. We are compil-

ing cards with pictures

and small bios about

each of you.

the project launches, you

will be contacted by your

Prayer Warrior. So don’t

be alarmed, be open, and

be constantly in Prayer.

is to write a small devo-

tional thought. The basic

minimum should look

like a two paragraph

email that includes at

least one bible verse. In

the very beginning

(separate from the two

paragraphs) make a mini

bio! You can do WHAT-

EVER YOU WANT! It

just needs to be biblically

sound. And even if you

have found an enjoyable

devotional from an ex-

ternal source, at least

write a paragraph of

preface that states WHY

YOU are sharing it. Let’s

try this friends!

Well it is necessary that

we do more as a group

to be a part of each oth-

ers lives. One step in

doing this is to have de-

votionals done by each

of us.

Every week, say,

Wednesday, the person

designated for the week

FEEDBACK.

That technically is the only

word that should be in this

entire section. Your leaders

are human. But even Super-

heroes need to know where

to direct their attention.

So whatever it is

that you are experiencing as

a person! Speak up. This

youth group is for everyone

between the ages of 16-30.

We are supposed to be a

community. When you leave

and go elsewhere, complain

to others, criticize the

church to your parents, then

we are only receiving con-

text clues (which are also

helpful… but not ideal).

Let us know how

you feel about things. Let us

know what you want to do.

Get back to us

when we ask

questions. These

are to better en-

hance what we all

desire here at our

church.

Take owner-

ship of this

church. You can!

You’re welcomed!

SWaBS by day and down time

by night. Games, pizza and a

movie. Check your email for

to reply if the computer is too

difficult.

First things first: Check Your

Emails. Your Youth Leaders

have made a commitment to

keep you informed. Ideally you

can at least make the commit-

ment to stay informed. And

from there, get involved!!

cleared by all parties..

realistically with others.

So let me break it

down for you: When you

meet people in your ele-

ment, it gets awkward some-

times when sharing your

faith. So, the leaders of the

Personal Ministries commit-

tee have decided to prepare

you/give you tools in order

to make the “sharing of your

faith” less awkward.

Don’t take this as a

grain of salt! You are the salt

of the earth ( Matt. 5:13) so

come learn how to share

Christ… after all, He is the

reason for the season”…

Our church wants you!

The Soul Winning and Bible

Study seminar is happening

March 17th, 4p-6p, at the

home of the Pipersburghs.

The goal of this sem-

inar is to learn more about

how you can share your faith

Pilot Program

Coming this April, the SDAF of Rancho will be holding a

Young Adult– Professional Sabbath School Study. This

Sabbath School class is geared towards those who have a

little more experience in life but are still covered under

the bracket of the word Young Adult. Remember, the

Adventist Youth department is spiritually caring for those

who are between the ages of 16-30.

So plan to come join the Youth/Young Adult Sabbath

School in April. We start at 9:30am with Breakfast

happening from 9:15. The Young Adult– Professional

Sabbath will meet during the odd weeks of April.

Rotten Eggs

The elderly pastor was searching his closet for his collar before church

one Sabbath morning. In the back of the closet, he found a small box containing 3 eggs

and 100 $1 bills.

He called his wife into the closet to ask her about the box and its contents. Embar-

rassed, she admitted having hidden the box there for their entire 30 years of marriage.

Disappointed and hurt, the pastor asked her, "WHY?"

The wife replied that she hadn't wanted to hurt his feelings. He asked her how the

box could have hurt his feelings. She said that every time during their marriage that he

had delivered a poor sermon, she had placed an egg in the box.

The pastor felt that 3 poor sermons in 30 years was certainly nothing to feel bad

about, so he asked her what the $100 was for.

She replied, "Each time I got a dozen eggs, I sold them to the neighbors for $1."
