Godparents’ Letters of Eligibility are due one month before the
Baptism.
PRE-JORDAN – Expectant and/or new parents are to participate
in a class on Baptism. This session is held on the 2nd Sunday of each
month at 1:00 PM. It is necessary to call the Rectory in advance of
the class to register.
MARRIAGES – Arrangements should be made at least six months
before the date of the wedding. Please call one of the priests.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK—In case of serious illness or surgery,
please contact one of our parish priests. This Sacrament can also be
administered after any weekday Mass. Please see the priest in the
Sacristy.
HOME VISITS- Anyone unable to attend Mass regularly due to
illness may call the Rectory to make arrangements to receive
Communion in their homes.

convenience or go to www.stmax.org. Please notify the Rectory of
any change of address as soon as possible.

New Ministry at St Maximilian Kolbe
“Sunrise Rosary Ministry”
St. Maximilian Kolbe parish has made a commitment to pray the rosary each Monday at 10:30 am with the residents at Sunrise. Prayerfully consider getting involved in this beautiful Ministry. We are looking for 10-12 people who can commit to praying one Monday out of each month. Two volunteers would be assigned each week. Consider a friend of yours to accompany you. STATIONS OF THE CROSS LENT 2019
At 7pm each Tuesday during Lent, all parishioners are invit-ed to participate in the Sta-tions of the Cross. Benedic-tion will be held at 6:30pm. The following groups will be leading the Stations this year:

Our Retreat Leader: Fr. Patrick Welsh
During our 40 Hours Devo�on, Fr. Welsh will engage us in a prayerful considera�on of the Sacred Triduum. His reflec�ons will prepare us to celebrate the coming feasts with
greater clarity, reverence, and joy. Fr. Welsh was ordained on May 20, 2000. He received a Licen�ate in Sacred Liturgy in Rome, Italy in 2008. He has held several posi�ons at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, including Director of Liturgy and Vice Rector. He is presently Pastor of Saint Ma�hew Parish in Mayfair, Philadelphia.

Our Scholastic Book Fair, with a dinosaur theme, opens Sunday March 31. All are welcome to browse the shelves and find the perfect book for you or as a gift.
There are books for all ages and of all kinds. Our Art Show will also be on display decorating the halls and with sculpture in the MPR. The art was all created by students in art class. Come out and be amazed
by the talents of these students.

In addition to shopping at the book fair, this is a perfect time to take a look at the school, ask questions, wander the halls while viewing the art, and pick up our

Outstanding Student Performances
Reading Olympics St. Max School sent two middle school teams to the Reading Olympics on March 19th. Reading Olympics is a competition involving schools from all over Chester County. Each team reads 45 books and participates in three rounds of a Jeopardy style question and answer session. Students receive a point for every correct answer.
We are proud to say both of our teams brought home a Blue Ribbon which is the highest honor. Thank you to Kristin Wolfe, our librarian, for preparing our teams. St. Max will be participating in the “40 Days for Life” Program on Monday, April 8th at Planned Parenthood in West Chester, where we ask you to pray the Rosary. Also at Adoration, on Tuesday April 9th please pray for mothers in crisis and the unborn. “40 Days for Life” is a concerted nationwide inter-denominational prayer initiative to end abortion through prayer and sacrifice. CYACC - Eucharistic Adoration Join CYACC - on Wednesday, April 3rd at St Agnes in West Chester. This month, CYACC will join St. Agnes on their Eucharistic Adoration. The night includes a guest priest, Fr. Stephen Dominic, who will proceed a solemn procession beginning at 7:00 PM followed by an opportunity to reflect on the Lenten journey. We hope you can join us! Basics of the Faith Basics of the Faith is an ongoing monthly series dealing with basic doctrines of the Catholic Church. Our next session will be Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 8:45 to 10:15 am in the Maximilian Room (Rectory side entrance). Palm Disposal The proper disposal for blessed palms is to burn them. So for your convenience, St. Max will be collecting palms from previous years through Palm Sunday this year. Containers will be placed in the doorways of the front of the church for you to drop off your old palms.
