Many of you are probably familiar with the poem penned by Robert Frost The Road Less Traveled; although its official title is The Road Not Taken. If you remember in his poem, Frost while on a walk in the woods, is confronted with two paths and has to decide which one he will ultimately take. After having examined both, he finally chooses to take the path that appears to be the one less traveled; remarking many years later that his decision to take the less trodden path, made a world of difference in his life. In many ways our Christian journey can be likened to a road that is “less traveled.” Why? Because the path that Jesus calls his followers to take is one that has been deemed as being extremely unpopular by many in today’s culture; and that includes some that even bear the name of Christian. But as we shall see in our message today, The Road Less Traveled, the road that will ultimately lead us to life and life more abundantly, has never been a popular one in any age.. . welcome
