Description : The New Display Centre is a landmark building with a floor area of

approximately 8800sq m over basement, ground, first floor and gallery

levels. The building form is circular and rises to a viewing tower floor

approximately 16 meters from ground floor level and will provide a focal

point to the area. The Works include 250 car parking spaces, VIP parking,

disabled parking, staff parking and a coach park for 20 vehicles.

The New Display Centre will be a public access visitor attraction open

throughout the year and to all age, ability, gender, ethnic and educational

groups. The Company expectation is that the finished project will be

durable in use and will withstand the constant daily use by the target

audience for at least ten years. The Company expectation is also that it will

match the high construction and functional standards of similar facilities

found elsewhere world-wide and which are considered to represent an

‘International Standard’.

Location : The site is located in the North East sector of Ahmadi Township and is

accessed from the main Fahaheel - Ahmadi highway 212. The site area is

approximately 65,120 m2 located on the north side of the main access

road entering Ahmadi.

There are two site entrances one to the south of the site

off Fahaheel - Ahmadi road for VIP use and a second main public access

from the East along a new tree lined boulevard.
