Moses drew water from a rock (Exd. 17:6), parted the Red Sea (Exd. 14:16), and was raised to the house of the Pharoah that should have killed him (Exd. 2); Jesus paid taxes with money from the mouth of a fish (Mat. 17:27) and

turned water into wine (Jhn. 2:9); Naa-man was healed by dipping himself in a muddy river (2Ki. 5:10); the children of Israel were sustained with food rained down from heaven(Exd 16:15); and a little boy’s lunch fed 5000 people (Jhn. 6:9-13).

These are just a few examples of unusual methods, unusual things, and unusual places that God used

to supply the needs of His king-dom and His people. Regardless of how strange His methods may seem,

He has designed them all for our

good. So, the next time you are faced with an unusual circumstance

or unusual opportunity, before you reject it, ask God about it. It may be the “secret treasure,” or golden opportunity that will get you to the destiny He has prepared for you.

Have you ever heard peo-ple say “I’m always broke; I’m never going to be anything” or maybe “I will never get well”? These word statements are just a few examples on what comes out of the mouth of people that are always broke, never success-ful and always sick. I speak “change” in the atmosphere!

It’s time for us to compre-hend and recognize that we have the authority to speak against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the

heavenly places. In this retreat, women and young ladies (ages 7 to 17) will come together and learn how to release words out of their mouths: words that will not return to them void. Gaining knowledge that the words they speak in the atmosphere shall accomplish what is decreed and will pros-per in the things where we

send them. You don’t want to miss this energetic, compelling,

motivated weekend. It has already been decreed in the atmosphere, this retreat will definitely change your life!

March 7-12, 2010, Juda Myers, con-ceived in an eight man rape, will be sharing her powerful story at the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women. International speaker, singer/songwriter, author and paint artist, Myers seeks to empower women with knowledge of better choices, offering life as the better choice for all involved. Her message translated into Chinese, French, and Spanish, will be distributed to U.N. delegates.

The U.N.’s focus is to advance and empower women. While equal rights, education and health will be discussed, abortion “rights” is a hot topic. Myers’ argument for life is powerfully mov-ing, changing lives. Speaking at Har-vard University in October 2009 with Harvard’s largest pro life attendance in years, Myers’ witnessed brilliant minds turn from the acceptance of abortion in any case to the reality of the gift of life. She speaks to all people from within the walls of prisons to the halls of the United Nations. “One can count the seeds in an

apple but not the apples in a seed.” Myers says referring to future genera-tions that we may lose to abortions.

Placed for adoption at birth, she found her birthmother, Ann and her story, four years ago. Bursting into tears Myers’ mother quickly patted her, “Honey stop your crying. I’ve forgiven those men. Look what God’s done. He’s brought you back to me. God is faith-ful.” Ann said that Juda was just an innocent baby.

Myers’ passion for people compels her to help others find joy in life. She’s found that many women who are raped are usually talked into an abortion. Myers’ own grandmother insisted she be aborted. Ann refused. Today Ann has no regrets, but it isn’t the case for so many who have aborted rape babies or

any other baby.Myers’ does training on forgiveness

at conferences believing anyone can for-give any offense to gain health and hap-piness. She speaks on life, incorporating her original songs from her CD, God is Faithful. One song on the CD, called War Cry, challenges the listener to “love your enemy.” Her new book, Hostile Conception Living With Purpose, along with her story, also offers practical steps to forgiveness with an entire chapter with stories of many other people who forgave horrific offenses. feature story

The Columbus Compact Corpora-tion (“the Compact”) is a nonprofit com-munity development corporation work-ing to improve the quality of life in the central city neighborhoods of Columbus, Ohio.

In December 1994, President Bill Clinton designated 104 distressed urban and rural areas as Empowerment Zones (EZ) and Enterprise Communities (EC). These designations were created to rec-ognize, encourage, and provide addi-tional resources for communities that had developed comprehensive strategies to improve areas that met federal criteria for “pervasive poverty, unemployment, and social distress.”

The Columbus Enterprise Com-munity application for designation and strategic plan recognized that prior to 1995 there was no single entity capable of coordinating the various sectors of the Greater Columbus community and focusing their efforts on central city rede-velopment. Recognizing this fact, a part-nership of government, business, and neighborhoods joined together to form the Columbus Compact Corporation (“the Compact”).

The Compact’s first efforts in Colum-

bus’ central city revitalization initiative were defined through a comprehensive, community-based planning process that coordinated strategies and engaged stakeholders in an effort to achieve last-ing change.

In 1999, the City of Columbus and the Compact partnered to develop an even broader strategic plan for the rede-velopment of central city Columbus. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reviewed the 10-year, $1.5 billion redevelopment plan, and awarded the larger Empower-

ment Zone designation to Columbus (the “EZ”). This 10-year federal designation is designed to focus community rede-velopment strategies and resources, in such a manner as to rebuild our city’s most distressed urban neighborhoods, and make them places that people want to come to live, work, and play.

The Columbus Compact Corpora-tion led the U.S. Department of Hous-ing and Urban Development-designated “Columbus Empowerment Zone” (the “EZ”). This 10-year federal designation

was designed to focus community rede-velopment strategies and resources, in such a manner as to rebuild our city’s most distressed urban neighborhoods, and make them places that people want to come to live, work, and play.

The Columbus Compact Corporation is a catalyst for positive change, and an agent for the growth and development of central city Columbus neighborhoods and business districts. The Compact envisions a healthy, thriving central city filled with successful and economically upwardly mobile individuals and fami-lies who have chosen to make central city neighborhoods their homes.

To that end, the Compact: Strengthens neighborhoods• Creates opportunities for profit-• able commerceEnhances the variety and qual-• ity of housing stockFacilitates full employment for • residents in high-quality jobsSupports the fullest possible • development of human poten-tialIdentifies and develops catalytic • sites to spur additional private investment

Heritage Square Marketplace Today The Compact is focused on developing a $9.1 million, 60,000 square foot retail/commercial business district covering three city blocks.

The most recently completed project is Heritage Square Marketplace: a 16,000 square foot Save-A-Lot supermarket along with a 3,000 square foot Simply Fashions women’s clothing store. This project will be followed by another 15,000 square feet of additional retail space immediately adjacent between Oakwood and Wilson avenues, on E. Main Street on the Near East Side of Columbus.

As part of this effort, the Compact has developed a wireless security cam-era program on E. Main Street, connect-ing Pan-Tilt-Zoom security cameras from 5 off-site partner locations to a common image viewing and recording station. Streaming camera images of E. Main Street are available 24 hours a day, from any computer with Internet access.

Sherman Oak Condominiums With our community partners, we have redeveloping a vacant and abandoned 12-unit apartment building at 143-151 Sherman Avenue in the Olde Towne East neighborhood, and converted it to

single-family condominiums. This proj-ect cost $1.2 million.

The goal of focusing on houses in that area is to spur economic activity and private revitalization efforts, aided by the new Save-A-Lot grocery store on E. Main. To that end The city of Colum-bus funneled $870,000 in federal dollars through Columbus Compact to restore up to 12 houses south of Main Street. The compact purchased the properties between S. 22nd Street and S. Ohio Ave-nue, along and just south of E. Main, and has begun to renovate the houses and bring them back to life along with the community.

King-Lincoln District (KLD)The Columbus Compact announces

a new commercial development initiative designed to bring retail investment to the King-Lincoln District of the Colum-bus EZ. The KLD Retail Development Program offers EZ financial resources to interested entrepreneurs and experi-enced retail managers interested in own-ing a small retail business on the com-mercial corridors in the King Lincoln District. The City of Columbus’ Depart-ment of Development developed a King-Lincoln District Plan for this area.

With a powerful message of hope in Christ, they uti-lize the gift God placed within them to bring Him glory and advance His kingdom.

“By using what we have been through and embraces those moments of despair this empowered us,” states Pastor Rey. “By becoming what they said we would never be”, victorious. We are committed to participate in this world as a catalyst to its conver-sion in the kingdom.”

Joining Chronicles for this anointed evening will be a power packed group of ministries that each carries a divine release. They include the Resurrec-tion Ministries - Dance Team,

Shaking the foun-dations of the earth and stirring the spirit and soul, Chronicles is blazing a trail in today’s music industry, coming forth with as a powerful, spirit-filled, radically anointed group.

Determined to reach those with the God-driven “out the box” mentality, Chronicles is making waves all over this Great Nation. With their unique sound that calls out and embraces the multitude. They committed to partici-pate in this world as a catalyst to its conversion in the kingdom.

Chronicles more over declare:We seek no position but a place

of service. We seek no power, but the Holy Ghost power, we see no glory, but the glory of God. We have no fear, but the fear of the Lord.

We have no by-laws above the holy bible. We have no creed, but the example of Christ. We have no weapon but the word of God, we have no God but the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Why writing things down is so important?

Modern psychological research says

“that writing anything down

makes us remember it

better. On the other hand, not writing things down is just asking

to forget.” What was even more interesting was that “when we

write something down, research suggests that as far as our brain is concerned, it’s as if we were doing that thing. Writing seems to act as a kind of mini-rehearsal for doing.”

Get ready to write it down! Get ready to do it!

blessed [are] they that hear

the word of God, and keep it.

- Luke 11:28 -

Welcome to the “Sermon Notes Journal.” is journal was designed to

empower you to “keep” the word that God has spoken through His ministers.

Jesus said that by hearing the word, and then keeping it, we insure that we stay

blessed. Modern psychological research says “that writing anything down makes

us remember it better. On the other hand, not writing things down is just asking

to forget.”

is book was designed to be a special place to store and “keep” your notes from

“the good news” that God has shared with you through His word.

Each two page spread is an opportunity for you to capture key biblical points and

life changing insight in one convenient and designated place.

is book will empower you to:

Centralize your church notes.

Refer to previously preached sermons.

Review cited scriptures.

Review your notes during your study time.

Develop a complete collection of what you learned over the year.

is book contains:

A Table of Contents to conveniently identify message titles, the date they were

preached and the page that contains the particular sermons notes

52 Sermon Notes spreads lined for easy notetaking

An Extra Notes for additional note taking

Conveniently sized to fit in a purse, book bag or even tuck into a bible,

the Sermon Notes Journal will become a hidden weapon to upset spiritual

opposition when lifes trials come to wage war against your faith.

I know I have. I have received calls from clients, things to do from my kid’s

school, reminders from my spouse and I did not have a designated space to

record the information or recall it at a future time, hence, “1001 ings to Do:

But how shall I get ideas? ‘’Keep your wits open!

Observe! Observe! Study! Study! But above all, Think! Think!

And when a noble image is indelibly impressed upon the mind -- Act!

- Orison Swett Marden

Welcome to “My Little Book of Big Ideas.” You have this book in your

hand because you desire to capture and preserve your ideas. Sometimes ideas

come and we write them on napkins, scrap pieces of paper, but what is more

devistating is when we don’t write them down at all.

Why writing down your is ideas is so important? Modern psychological

research says “that writing anything down makes us remember it better. On

the other hand, not writing things down is just asking to forget.” 1 What was

even more interesting was that “when we write something down, research

suggests that as far as our brain is concerned, it’s as if we were doing that thing.

Writing seems to act as a kind of mini-rehearsal for doing.” 2

is journal is designed to assist you with capturing your ideas, the first step in

making your ideas become a reality!

The 4 page spreads that allow you to:

Document the date you thought of the idea;

Record the name of your idea;

Describe type of idea it is;

Describe the concept of your idea;

Sketch any drafts, prototypes or graphics related to your idea;

Track the progress of your idea; and

Record any additional notes and/or websites and contact information.

(NAPSI)-Several studies have found that U.S. students continue to lag behind those in other developed countries in sci-ence, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. In the last comparison conducted by the Programme for Interna-tional Student Assessment (PISA), Ameri-can students ranked 21st out of 30 in sci-ence literacy among students from devel-oped countries, and 25th out of 30 in math literacy.

Recognizing the importance of STEM education and responding to President Obama’s call to improve science literacy among American students, a founda-tion committed to science education has announced a new nationwide initiative.

Building on its 12-year track record of supporting science education programs, the Siemens Foundation, in partnership with Discovery Education, Oak Ridge Associ-ated Universities and the College Board, has created the Siemens STEM Academy. This program will provide several differ-ent tools offering teachers additional pro-fessional development. An evaluation by the Community Training and Assistance Center of work done in Duval County,

Fla., demonstrated that purposeful teacher training can lead to quantifiable gains in student learning. The Siemens STEM Academy will provide teachers this type of training through the following resources:

• Siemens STEM InstituteA week-long STEM immersion pro-

gram that will enable 50 select teachers to gather and engage with today’s critical sci-ence thinkers and other peers from across the nation and visit leading institutions in Washington, D.C. to see real-world applica-tions of STEM subject matter.

• STEM Academy Online PortalA national portal and online commu-

nity at www.siemensstemacademy.com, designed to foster STEM achievement by providing educators with a dedicated

resource to collaborate, exchange and con-nect about all things related to STEM edu-cation.

• Brains of Science Connect Webinar Series

A monthly webinar series that gives educators from across the country the chance to interact with today’s eminent scientists, personalities and thought lead-ers and extend that experience to their stu-dents through customized standards-based content.

A Commitment to Excellence“This academy reinforces the Siemens

Foundation’s commitment to excellence in STEM education. Each successful stu-dent can remember being influenced by a great teacher,” said James Whaley, presi-dent of the Siemens Foundation. “Through the Siemens STEM Academy, we seek to empower educators with effective, engag-ing, professional development. We strive to improve student achievement in these disciplines that are so important to our nation’s future.”

other debts, property value and the size of your down payment. Many lenders require a minimun Beacon credit score of 620; however, there are some lenders that only require 580, but the cost of financ-ing is higher in the form of higher lender fees and interest rate. Lenders demand

two years of steady employment at the same job, asking for the last two years tax returns and recent pay stubs for veri-fication. If you are self employed be pre-pared to provide even more documenta-tion of your income. Although lender requirements vary, you will likely need to provide two years business and per-sonal tax returns, a profit-and-loss state-ment, business license and a letter from your accountant.

There are other forms of income that can be used to qualify for a mortgage loan, such as alimony, child support, or disability payments. The stipulation is that you must have been receiving these payments for two years or more and they

are going to continue for three years or more.

If this is your year to purchase a home, you should contact a lender of your choice to view your credit report with you and to get you pre approved, this process will allow you to have a real-istic price range and make you a more attractive buyer.

(NAPSI)-Parenting a child with ADD or ADHD can be a challenging undertak-ing. However, applying specific behavior strategies can help families manage these conditions.

The Eckerd Academy--a residential alternative school for youth with ADD, ADHD and other emotional behavioral challenges--offers the following pointers:

• Establish a clear set of rules for everyone in the household so that other family members can serve as role mod-els.

• Maintain a predictable daily rou-tine.

• Give user-friendly directions. Using a combination of verbal and physi-cal cues serves both to model appropri-ate body language and to reinforce the child’s focus.

• Prepare for new surroundings and situations. Unfamiliar conditions can often exacerbate attention problems.

• Set up a system of rewards and consequences.

For more information, visit www.

eckerdacademy.org or call (800) 914-3937. The organization has locations in Geor-gia, Tennessee and Florida.

Restoring Skins’ RadianceThe science

of skin care keeps improving, offer-ing newer ways to restore radiance and volume to aging skin.

“As we age, there is both a dramatic loss and redistribution of essential elements in the skin, includ-

ing collagen, hyaluronic acid and even fat,” said Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, a New York City−based dermatologist. “These changes lead to deflated and hanging tis-

sue, much like a well-filled balloon that loses air over time.

“People have sought injections to return the volume needed for a youthful look and counteract this mid-face sink,” said Frank. “Inspired by these trends, GoodSkin Labs created Filextra, a sim-ple and powerful facial cream that helps plump, hydrate and revolumize skin’s appearance.”

SPRAY eight 6-ounce ramekins or custard cups with nonstick cooking spray; coat lightly with granulated sugar. MICROWAVE morsels, butter and baking cocoa in large, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in egg yolks and vanilla extract.

BEAT egg whites in large mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Stir one-fourth of egg white mixture into choco-late mixture to lighten. Fold in remaining egg white mixture gently but thoroughly. Spoon into prepared ramekins, filling about 3/4 full. Cover soufflés individually with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 1 day. PREHEAT oven to 400° F. Remove plastic wrap from soufflés. Place soufflés on baking sheet. Bake on center oven rack for 18 to 20 minutes or until puffed and center still moves slightly.
