Rutland Regional continues to exceed national benchmarked rates of specialty nursing certification. According to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), 41.72% of Rutland Regional Nurses hold a specialty certification, compared to a national average of 18.18% at similar organizations.

March 19, 2014 – Certified Nurses DayRutland Regional Medical Center recognizes and holds high regards for the distinctive contributions of our Board-Certified Nurses on Certified Nurses Day. Certified Nurses Day is an annual worldwide event that honors nurses who commit to high quality of care and better patient outcomes through national board certification in their specialty.
Certification affirms advanced knowledge, skill, and practice to meet the challenges of modern nursing. In alignment with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the following Rutland Regional nurses continue to demonstrate their professionalism, leadership, and commitment to professional development and excellent patient care.
Rutland Regional continues to exceed national benchmarked rates of specialty nursing certification. According to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), 41.72% of Rutland Regional Nurses hold a specialty certification, compared to a national average of 18.18% at similar organizations.

nurses every day. Rutland Regional Medical Center is proud to be a DAIsy Award partner, recognizing our nurses with this special honor.
The not-for-profit DAIsy Foundation is based in Glen Ellen, CA, and was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Patrick died at the age of 33 in late 1999 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a little known but not uncommon auto-immune
disease. The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired this unique means of thanking nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patients families.
