Dear Pleasant Run Families: It is hard to believe that we are 1 week away from Spring Break. Please remember that our last day will be March 17th. We will continue our weekly newsletter, after Spring Break. Our 3rd grade students will be taking the IREAD 3 test next week. Please find our schedule below:
Monday: Practice test
Tuesday: Section 1 & 2
Wednesday: Section 3
Thursday: Make-ups
Please remember, round 2 of ISTEP begins on April 17 (so just TWO WEEKS after spring break). Traditionally, this portion of the test accounts for about 70-75% of a student’s overall score, therefore, preparation for this part of the test is extremely important. Stay tuned for additional information.
Recently the district has purchased new buses that are equipped with seat belts. These are required to be worn by students at all times. The district will continue to add new buses to their fleet over the next few years.
Finally, our new PTA board will be holding their open meeting on Thursday, April 6th. This meeting will begin at 5:45 PM, prior to our ST Family Math Night. They will be approving the 16/17 budget and will be discussing elections for the 17/18 school year. We hope you can be there to join us.
Enjoy your weekend!
Mr. Koomler
