October 2011 - Consultant Burt Hill Stantec: RFP for Student Center at University of Mary Washington Demonstrated professional level endurance of craft, creativity, exibility and discipline to deliver a detailed physical model. Showpiece featured a 30 contour topography designed to accommodate 2 slide-in-place proposals and the existing student center as well as inlayed contextual buildings. Further speci cations include: 12 sq ft model base and 27 buildings in total, including proposals; all constructed of white museum board. Created and curated a precariously exhibited 5x8 foot map from site specific-found objects and materials in an attempt to interpret the transient domestication of an informal space hidden underneath the network of infrastructure including the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
