Head teacher: Mr Phil Pike To whom this may concern I am writing on behalf of Marc Pummell and his experiences at the Phoenix School. I would like to highlight some of the skills he has displayed whilst working with a group of students with severe learining difficulties (SLD) during a block of Physical Education. The Phoenix School is a special needs school which caters for children and young people with a range of disabilities including: those with multi sensory disabilities, severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Marc has supported a group of 2-19 year olds within a Rebound Therapy training program. At each session Marc has been well presented and prepared and has organised resources without instruction. Marc has shown the ability to communicate appropriately with senior members of staff and has followed precise instructions. Marc has been able to lead parts of warm up sessions and always took part in the warm up. Marc has been able to communicate effectively with pupils and has been able to diffetrentiate activites or work stations so that the students have been able to reach their full potential. Marc has also used some signing to support his communication with students. Marc has shown that he is a hard working and dedicated young man whilst working at the school. I feel that the skills he has learnt here are transferable into the workplace and he would be a hardworking and dedicated colleague. The students at the school looked up to Marc and his peers as role models, and in our school we need more role models like these young people, especially Marc. I hope the skills I have outlined will stand Marc in good stead for the position he is applying for. If you would like to contact me regarding the work he undertook at the school please do not hesitate to contact me. To whom this may concern

I am writing on behalf of Marc Pummell and his experiences at the Phoenix School.
