under-mantel Smartsense lighting. Manufactured with long life

LEDs which are mercury free and more energy eficient than

traditional halogen bulbs; they provide a sharp licker-free light

accentuating the natural beauty of the marble.

The LEDs incorporate Smartsense Technology which are

controlled by a motion sensor – no contact is required!

Once you have selected your stunning new fireplace you will need to choose a fire that meets

your requirements. Be Modern produces an extensive range of quality gas and electric fires to

suit your home and match your chosen fireplace style.

The following pages explain and illustrate our range of ires, including key technical details.

Fire Collection

There are � important considerations when choosing a Be Modern ire:

1) The type of lue or chimney in your home

2) Your choice of a gas or electric ire

3) The type of fuel bed and style of trim and fret you prefer

�) Types of Flue or Chimney Requirements

Brick built chimneysBrick built chimneys can be identiied by a brick built chimney stack and by chimney pots. Brick built

chimneys give you the widest choice of ires and can accommodate all of our gas and electric ires.

Pre fabricated luesThese can be identiied by an external metal lue pipe or cowl on the roof and may have a false chimney

breast in the room to conceal the metal lue in the home. Pre fabricated lues can accommodate slimline

gas ires and electric ires.

Pre cast luesCheck for a ridge tile vent or a metal lue pipe with cowl. Pre cast lues are built into cavity walls and can

accommodate slimline gas ires and electric ires.

No Chimney or Flue optionsIf you have no chimney or lue, you can still enjoy the beneits of a warm glowing ire.

There are 2 options:

Powerlue ires

If you want an open fronted gas ire and have no lue or chimney, then our Powerlue models are for you!

This system has a fan assisted exhaust that draws and vents the ire through an external wall.

To preserve the beauty and prolong its life, your ireplace needs regular cleaning. Due

to their natural properties, Marble and Limestone require special care and attention.

Both materials can stain easily and are sensitive to acids such as citrus juice, vinegar

and household cleaning chemicals.

Follow a periodic cleaning routine with a mild, neutral cleaner

Avoid using chemical cleaners as these may damage or dull the surface

Avoid using wax or spray polishes

Avoid placing hot objects, drinks etc. directly onto the ireplace

Always rinse using clean warm water

Be Modern Marble & Stone Care Kit

Our specially designed cleaning kit is ideal for cleaning,

protecting and maintaining your Marble or Limestone

ireplace. It contains 3 water based solutions to:

Clean Light detergent gently removes any minor dirt marks

Seal Seals and protects the marble

Polish Apply polish to the surface to keep your ireplace looking its best (Use on polished surfaces only)

Please note:

Be Modern Limestone surrounds are supplied untreated – they are not sealed.

An appropriate sealer can be applied to a Limestone surround if required, please seek

advice from your ireplace retailer. If you choose to seal your Limestone surround we

would recommend that it is allowed to dry out after installation so any minor marks

can be removed.
