Savitribai Phule Pune University in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering,

Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering,

Civil Engineering, Information Technology along with post graduate courses in MBA, ME

Mechanical (Design Engineering) and ME Civil (Construction Management). The institute has

been accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade.

The purpose of this Newsletter is to provide information to the student-staff fraternity of

Nashik and society at large of the news, including relevant announcements and updates that we

believe are important to them. However, this newsletter is also a valuable tool for bolstering

morale, promoting unity, team spirit, motivating and rewarding achievements of KBT COE,

Nashik. This college News-Letter has been started from January 2017 and latest issue will be

Fusion – 2020

The Annual College Gathering event

FUSION-2020 was organized during 11th to

15th February 2020. During this period, various

days, cultural events, fashion show etc. were

organized. The inauguration of the event took

place at the hands of Hon. Mr. Prakshji Mate,

Hon. Mr. Ajayji Boraste, Hon. Ms. Himgauri

Adke, Hon. Ms. Swati Bhamare, All the

directors MVP Samaj, Dr. N. S. Patil

(Education Officer-MVP Samaj & Principal),

Prof. N. B. Desale (Vice Principal) and LMC

Members. On that day of Prize distribution, Mr.

Prakash Thavik (Hon. CEO, Smart city was the

chief guest, Mr. Vishnu Prasad H. (Assistant

Commissioner, Income tax, Nashik City) was

the guest of Honor of the program. All the

managing directors of MVP Samaj, along with

Dr. N. S. Patil (Education Officer-MVP Samaj

& Principal) and Prof. N. B. Desale (Vice

Principal) graced the occasion by their

presence. In this program annual report for

academic year 2019-2020 was presented by

Mr. S. M. Waysal as Fusion-2020 coordinator.

Prizes were also given to the student for their

achievements in academic, sports and cultural

performances at the hands of honorable guests

and managing directors of MVP Samaj. Few

Dr. A.K. Patil presented paper on “Fault simulation

and severity analysis in wind energy system” at

international IEEE conference, VIT, Pune. She has

designed control system for wind energy system and

evaluated the severity of sensors faults in it.

Workshop on Arduino (08/02/2020)

One day workshop on Arduino was organized by

Instrumentation & Control Engineering department

on 8th February 2020. This workshop is conducted by

IIT Bombay. Faculty learned about basics of

Arduino, Interfacing of Arduino with different input

output peripherals such as LED, Seven segment

display, LCD, Motor, push button etc.


Seminar on “Oil & Energy

Conservation” (24/02/2020)

A seminar was organized for SE & TE students of

Mechanical Engineering regarding oil & energy

conservation under government scheme SAKSHAM

2020 on 24th February 2020. Mr. Santosh Nivendkar

casting yard and construction site of Nashik flyover

bridge on 7th February 2020. In the casting yard

students observed various processes involved in

casting of girders like RCC work, pretensioning, post

tensioning and cranes. The installation process was

also studied by the students.

▪ Design of low cost Soil moisture

measurement system (12/02/2020)

The farmers from Nashik region, who

produce export quality grapes in their farm, had

a meet with Dr. N. S. Patil (Education Officer-

MVP Samaj & Principal) and requested for

design of low cost soil moisture measurement

system which would help farmers for water

management and maintaining quality of grapes

for export.

The Department of Instrumentation &

Control Engineering shared this problem

statement, with T.E. students Mr. Suyash

Gadhave, Mr. Bhushan Karanjkar and Mr.

Nishant Joshi and it is given them as a mini-

project which is part of their curriculum. The

department provided them with necessary

components and guidance. They have

successfully developed this system and

demonstrated it to Smt. Neelimatai Pawar

ISHRAE Student Chapter Installation Ceremony &

Charter Presentation of MVPS’S KBT College of

Engineering, Nashik was carried out at Department

of Mechanical Engineering on 17th February 2020.

On this occasion, Student President Bhushan Gunjal,

Secretary Rupeshkumar Burade, Treasurer Satyam

Birar and CWC members Gaurav Kothawade,

▪ Nav-Udyojak Competition (13/02/2020)

A “Nav-Udyojak” competition was organized by ED

Cell & Start up cell to provide platform to students

for their innovative ideas. Model made by student

ware displayed in the art gallery. Mr. Yash Bhalekar,

Mr. Akshay Medhane, Ms. Nikita Kapadnis, Mr.

Soham Patil, Mr. Jinay Patel from mechanical

department have won the competition for shock

absorber lamp.

B. Alumni Meet (February 2020)

The Alumni of the institute are not only one

many more initiatives. Being one of the oldest

engineering institutes in the Nashik region the

college has a rich alumni base. As a part of

regular practice, the institute has organized an

Alumni Meet in the month of February 2020.

Convocation Ceremony (18/02/2020)

“India is a source of the most

knowledgeable professionals working across

the world. Our students are capable of taking

country on the path of development. They shall

try to bring out innovative solutions to the

major problems that our country is facing”, said

Dr. Vasudev Gade (Vice President –

Vishwakarma University, Ex. Vice Chancellor

SPPU, Pune). He was the chief guest of the

Convocation Program organized by SPPU,

Pune in association with MVPS’s KBT College

of Engineering, Pharmacy College, College of

Architecture, Law College and Adv. Vitthalrao

Hande College of Education. Smt. Nilimatai

Pawar (Hon. Sarchitnis, MVP Samaj) was the

president of this ceremony. Shri. Prakash Mate

(President, Local Management Committee), Dr.

V. B. Gaikwad (Principal - KTHM), Dr. N. S.

Patil (Education Officer-MVP Samaj,

Principal-KBT COE), Dr. Dilip Derle

(Principal-Pharmacy College), Dr. P. S. baste

(Pricipal-College of Architecture), Dr. N. S.

Kulkarni (Principal-Law College), Dr.

Chandrakant Borse, Prof. N. B. Desale (Vice-

Principal-KBTCOE) and all the Head of

Departments were present on the dais.

MVP is an organization of Quality holder

and capable students. Student shall grab the

opportunity of development through their

knowledge and latest technology, appealed Dr.

Gade in his speech. In her Presidential speech,

Smt. Nilimatai Pawar (Hon. Sarchitnis, MVP

Samaj) stated that, the organization is

imparting quality education to the masses and

congratulated the students on this occasion.

In this ceremony, 436 students of

Engineering, 73 students of Law, 66 students of

Pharmacy, 52 Students of Architecture and 32

Students of Education were awarded degree. At

the conclusion of this ceremony, Dr. Prajakta

Baste (Pricipal-College of Architecture)

proposed the vote of thanks.

Competition 2020 (25th – 27th February

2020)

The Gymkhana department of the institute organized

Vasant Karandak Cricket Sports Competition 2020

during 25th to 27th February 2020. Out of 08

participant teams, Sanghavi College of Engineering

Nashik won the competition and Team KKWIEER,

Nashik was the runner up.
