Using the brand’s color palette and a simple vocabulary of shapes keeps map style easy to read, effective and in line with the other graphic design elements, such as pictograms and data visualization.

5 — Maps / Base Maps
Two types of base map have been developed:
Base map 1: A solid map showing the countries in detail, to highlight specific regions.
Base map 2: A less precise map made up of dots, to highlight more general, overall information.
Solid base map 1 Dotted base map 2

5 — Maps / Solid Base Maps
Use of Color
Two-color base maps should preferably be in orange or warm gray (100% or halftone).
The use of Level 1 red should be limited to showcasing one or possibly more elements, such as a country, but never an entire continent. It must always be keyed or captioned.

5 — Maps / Incorrect Usage
1 – Keys must be aligned and must use the pointers referenced, in Level 1 or 2 colors. 2 – To avoid suggesting danger or a pandemic, do not depict large regions in red.
3 - Only warm gray and orange may be used for one-color maps. 4 - No base maps in four colors.
