ABSTRACT

Most of today's enterprises conduct knowledge management initiatives for achieving competitive advantage. Information

technology plays a key role in codifying knowledge and distributing it throughout the organization.

Ever since AutoRoute Express was launched for Psion's 3a palmtop in the mid-1990s, route planning, and city mapping software

has been very popular for palmtop computers. It makes sense, really. Rather than carrying a bulky guidebook or laptop with you,

just rely on your PDA to tell you where you are and what restaurants, clubs, and other attractions are in the immediate vicinity.

This package, for machines running Microsoft's XP. So not only do you get basic maps of the city in question, you also get

detailed information about the city itself, areas to visit, places to stay, things to do during the day and at night, and so on. All

these items are searchable.

Categories of locations include Sleep, Eat, See, Shop and Night, which are pretty self-explanatory. Items within these categories

incorporate reviews, contact details and often pricing too. Where detailed text information is available about a particular

location, it's shown on a separate 'page' to the map, so you can quickly switch back and forth.

1. INTRODUCTION

Most of today's enterprises conduct knowledge management initiatives for achieving competitive advantage. Information

technology plays a key role in codifying knowledge and distributing it throughout the organization.

Ever since AutoRoute Express was launched for Psion's 3a palmtop in the mid-1990s, route planning, and city mapping software

has been very popular for palmtop computers. It makes sense, really. Rather than carrying a bulky guidebook or laptop with you,

just rely on your PDA to tell you where you are and what restaurants, clubs, and other attractions are in the immediate vicinity.

2. ANALYSIS OF PROBLEM

In the existing system, we collect the information about the cities from referring manual book or from searching it from the

internet net, we can only map the city using Google map. We can’t get the detailed information about an organization or others

from Google map.

Limitations of the existing system

Tedious manual work.

Difficulty in data retrieval.

Time-consuming is high.

3. PROPOSED WORK

The proposed system is developed to overcome the drawbacks of the existing system. Travel guides have existed for a very long

time even before the development of modern civilization. These guides then were drawn in the paper as maps and were mainly used

for pinpointing the location of any accessible pathway that leads to a hidden treasure. But as time and technology progress, the main

appearance and usage of a travel guide changes. Majority of travel guides today are not manifested as maps anymore, but rather

they appear mostly in the form of guide books and are incorporated into a number of existing technologies. Having a website with

you is definitely essential, especially if you do not want to get lost in a place you seem unfamiliar with.

4. CONCLUSION

Mapping of the organization using Google map allows the user to view the details of organizations and locate the correct location.

This provides an easy way of searching different organizations. Normally goggle map provides only the location of an organization.

But this software package provides the full details about the organization and allows storing the details of all the data related to an

organization. The system is strong enough where the database is maintained and cleared over a certain time of span.
