• Installation: The default setting for the directory path is changed to "C:\Program Files\Daniel\Daniel Ultrasonic Interface". It is recommended that the users uninstall DUI Version 1.052 or earlier before installing DUI Version 2.00. See Section 2.4 for uninstalling DUI software instructions in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• Logging On as "super" User: The default access for "super" user has been changed. The following three pages have been removed: Calibration page, ZeroFlow page, and Flash page. The Calibration page is intended for use in a Flow Lab only. The ZeroFlow page is for the user who is experienced with delay time measurement, and the procedure requires proper set up and equipment. The Flash page is used to download application firmware only. The user can add the pages through UserAdmin page when needed. See Section 18.2 for changing user access instructions in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• Config Page: The Data Source combo box is disabled since it is not currently used.
• ComPort Page: The Daniel register mode is not supported by the meter and, therefore, is disabled. The XON/XOFF selection for Flow Control is not used and disabled.
• Monitor Page: The K Factor unit display is added. The Pressure unit display is changed to reflect the Absolute or Gauge pressure readings. The K Factor and VolPerPulse floating-point data display and logging are changed to "Best-Fit" format. See Section 3.7 for the definition of the "Best-Fit" Format for Floating-Point Data Display in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• Register Page: The Function 1 (Read Coil), Function 5 (Set Single Coil), and Function 15 (Set Multiple Coil) are not supported by the meter and removed from the Function list. The floating-point data display and logging are changed to the "Best-Fit" format. See Section 3.7 for the definition of the "Best-Fit" Format for Floating-Point Data Display in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.

• Parameter Page: The floating-point data display is changed to the "Best-Fit" format. See Section 3.7 for the definition of the "Best-Fit" Format for Floating-Point Data Display in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• Log Page: The audit log floating-point data display and logging are changed to "Best-Fit" format. See Section 3.7 for the definition of the "Best-Fit" Format for Floating-Point Data Display in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• ZeroFlow Page: The Calc Method combo box is deleted since only the Equation method is supported in the fixed analog input mode. The Live Pressure combo box is changed to Live Pres (psig) edit box and the input range is between 60 to 310 psig. The Atm Pres (psia) edit box is added for the user to enter the desired atmospheric pressure when testing with fixed temperature and pressure. See Section 15.2.2 for instructions on test with fixed temperature and pressure in the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
• Help: Online help is closed after DUI exits.

Welcome to the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual.
We designed the Daniel Ultrasonic Interface User Manual to help you get started with the DUI product and learn how its robust functions can assist you in effectively managing your ultrasonic meters, and thus your pipeline flow. This manual provides instructions on:
• installing the software
• logging in and setting up general system security
• navigating the user interface
• using each function page
Each section provides step-by-step procedures that can be followed along side the running program. An online help program is also included with the software. You can access these help files at any time by clicking on the
button.
We hope you enjoy this product.

The floating-point Modbus registers in the meter use IEEE 32-bit (4-byte or single precision) floating-point format. The precision of the float data is approximately seven decimal digits.
The Best-Fit format for floating-point data display is summarized as follows:
• Seven significant digits are displayed.
Example: If the float data value is 0.123456789, it is displayed as 0.1234568.
• Trailing zeros and trailing decimal point are not displayed.
Example: If the float data value input is 0.1234500, it is displayed as 0.12345.
• The engineering format (or “e” format) is used if the exponent is less than -4.
Example: If the float data value is 0.00000123, it is displayed as 1.23e-006.
• The engineering format (or “e” format) is used if the exponent is greater than or equal to the precision.
Example: If the float data value input is 123456789, it is displayed as 1.234568e+008.
The Best-Fit format is used in the floating-point data displays for the Register Page, Parameter Page, Audit Log in the Log Page, and K Factor and VolPerPulse in the Monitor Page.

The DFI board records an Audit log whenever any parameter that affects the gas flow measurement is modified (see Table 16-1). The DFI board records an Alarm record whenever an alarm/error condition is activated or cleared (see Table 16-2). Note that the maximum number of Audit logs is 2849 and the maximum number of Alarm logs is 3640.
For all event logs, the DataPt column refers to the Modbus register number. For Audit logs, Value A refers to the previous value, and Value B refers to the new value. For Alarm logs, Value A only has meaning when a chord failure has occurred;Value B is always set to “0.00” (does not apply). If a chord failure is detected, Value A will provide the corresponding chord status value at the time of failure; otherwise, Value A is set to “0.00”.

15.Reconnect the DFI and CPU boards. Power up the DFI board and establish communications via the DUI software (see Section 7.1).
To verify a proper initialization, read the Modbus Register Block #61 (see Section 12.1). All volume register values should be “0.0”. If not, reinitialize the board.
