PracTIcal eleMenTs ofMechanIcal enGIneerInG this one-year Ontario College Graduate Certifcate program gives students who

have successully completed their second or third year o a CEAB approved program

in Mechanical Engineering, intensive, hands-on training in the practical elements

associated with their proession. Students will learn computer assisted design

(CAD), blueprint reading, machining and welding. This program will complement the

theoretical skills that engineers obtain in their ormal studies.

elecTroMechanIcal enGIneerInGTechnIcIan (acceleraTed) a two-year Ontario College Diploma program oered in 1.5 academicyears is a multidisciplinary program that exposes students to aspects o

electromechanical systems. Students will gain knowledge o the mechanical

aspects o a system, such as the ability to read mechanical prints, understand

tolerances and the mechanical nuances o a system. Students will be exposed

to both electrical and mechanical principles, allowing graduates to be capable

o analyzing, modiying, maintaining and repairing electromechanical systems.

The ocus o the program shall be concurrent engineering with respect to

products and processes. Students will also be exposed to project management

    and quality systems.

ManufacTurInG enGIneerInGTechnIcIan (acceleraTed) a two-year Ontario College Diploma oered in 1.5 academic years and a

one-year co-op that ocuses on tool design, computer numerical control (CNC),

computer assisted design and manuacturing (CAD/CAM), metallurgy, metrology

and statistical process control methods. Graduates work as technical analysts,

project engineering technicians, computer aided or solidworks designers or

CNC machine programmers and in research and development, sales, production

    equipment inspection and maintenance.
