1.0 PURPOSE To define manufacturing specifications, terminology, defaults, abbreviations and other notations used to communicate technical information or guidance contained in Kimray technical drawings and literature.

2.0 SCOPE

ENG-007, “Manufacturing Specifications & Terminologies” applies to all parts,

processes, drawings and technical information that are used by the Kimray Machine Shop, Assembly, Kimray Sales & Service, Kimray Distributors, Outside Suppliers, Outside Vendors or other Outside Service Providers.

3.0 CASTING STANDARD DEFAULTS

For castings, Kimray utilizes separate casting drawings from the final machining drawings. The casting drawings allow for differences associated with the foundry process. The designated foundry will reference these casting drawings when constructing respective patterns and generating final castings. The following Casting Standard Defaults shall be used when referencing drawings to produce molds and castings.

3.1 General Notes for Casting Drawings

Patterns shall be produced using the following defaults unless otherwise specified:

• All fillets and radii 0.062". • Minimum practical draft 2°. • All unspecified tolerances on investment / permanent molds ±0.015”; all other

molds ±0.062". • When part lines passes through a circular object no draft needed.
