competitive advantages that Cascos products offer, all of which are the result of

45 years of continuous product development and manufacturing in our factory in

Vittoria, Northern Spain.

Cascos is very different to most of our competitors; first and foremost we are a

manufacturer, not a just a brand.

Being a manufacturing company means we are in control of every procedure

including cutting, drilling, welding, painting, assembling, and final quality control.

It also provides us with a customer service team that guarantees a fast and efficient

supply of spares and technical support for historic product, not just recent. Equally

important is the fact that of course our name is our reputation. If a product bears

the Cascos logo, we know we have a duty to ensure that the product maintains

our reputation through reliability, performance and longevity.

The criteria is simple, using the proven technology and of our two post lift range and using it to produce a product that is ideal for those situations where space is at a premium or for applications where maximum access to the vehicle is required.

Our specially designed columns (see Hot Rolled Profiles) enable us to reduce the overall footprint of the lift, whilst maintaining the widest internal distance between posts (2.7m), thus providing excellent door opening conditions and working area.

This extra space allows us to use symmetric arms (other manufacturers use asymmetric, to move the vehicle off-centre to allow door opening). These symmetric arms mean the vehicle can be driven on in either direction, and the motor post to be positioned the side of your choice.

v HOT ROLLED PROFILESIf you take a look at most lift columns, you will see they are formed from folded sheets of steel. This is by far the cheapest way of producing a lifting column, but the downside is that you have to use a very large profile of column to ensure the strength. Cascos lifting columns, however, are made from solid, hot rolled profiles of steel. The extreme rigidity and resistance to torsion means that we can use a much slimmer column and still maintain a stronger component. We have, over the years, seen lifting columns that have literally ‘bowed’ under the duress of lifting vehicles. You will never, ever see this with a Cascos lift.

v MAXIMUM LOADOur lift is designed to comfortably handle the maximum load capacity, with the arms in any position, regardless of angle or extension-length of the arms. If you check with many of the lifts on the market, they promise a lifting capacity of Xkg, but this loading capacity is reduced dependent on the positioning of the arms. What’s more, the seller is not obliged to tell you this, only to state it in the manual (which you probably won’t read!).

v SIMPLE AND RELIABLEOur lifts, quite simply, are designed to be the most reliable in the market, and our in-house R&D department has achieved designs which achieve maximum simplicity from an electrical and mechanical point of view.To Cascos, technology has to be utilised in the right way; that is for the benefit of service and reliability, not to reduce cost at the sacrifice of quality.

v SPINDLE NUTAt 45mm in diameter, our spindle is the largest of the market. Not only does this provide the obvious merit of being robust, but it also means that the increased surface area is subject to less friction and provides a longer life for both the spindle and the nut. In addition, our spindle is manufactured from cold rolled steel instead of a shaving process, which assures its quality and life span. Each spindle is subject to a strict quality control process before assembly, and are then mounted using gravity suspension rather than being supported, ensuring absolute perfect centering.

The accompanying lifting nuts are specially designed for long life under volume usage, and are made from the highest quality RG7 Bronze or Nylatron, dependent on model. Many people talk about electro-mechanical lifts suffering from wear on the lifting nuts and, eventually, the spindle However this stems from poor quality, poorly designed lifts. You will never hear this criticism of a Cascos lift.

v STEEL BEARINGSThe carriages are equipped with 4 premium quality steel bearings, strengthened with Nylatron sliding pads to obtain optimum guiding and protection. Whilst Nylatron is not a cheap material, it is far superior to standard nylon guides used by other manufacturers, ensuring less wear and erosion, and saving money long term on service and maintenance costs.

Our baseless lifts are supplied with an anchorage plate, thus ensuring a greater distribution of the loading pressure and therefore greater stability.

All our lifts are supplied with appropriate fixing bolts.

v LEVELLING SYSTEM VIA ‘PLC AUTOMAT’The levelling system of our baseless lifts is controlled by a programmable automat (PLC) and induction detectors. The PLC-Automat levelling is once again one of those systems that is slightly more expensive to produce, but far more reliable in the field than the other methods such us mechanical cable levelling or electronic PCB & potentiometer systems which are far more sensitive to voltage variations and wear.

Another advantage of our levelling system is that you do not have to use an overhead gantry to enable synchronisation; the electric cables can be routed through the floor.

v EXCLUSIVE FEATURESOur platforms are reinforced by hot rolled profile steel beams. This advantage eliminates any chance deformation or ‘bowing’ of the platform. A sunken platform on a 4 post lift is a common sight in workshops, this will never happen with a Cascos, and we can guarantee the platform will remain totally flat/straight over the life of the lift.

Our post lifts have the lowest profile/minimum height on the market. This allows us to fit in all kinds of existing recesses, as well as handle sports and lowered vehicles which other 4 post lifts simply cannot accommodate without having to extend the run-up ramps. We have a double mechanical safety system, incorporating both security ladders and safety bars. This ‘belt and braces’ approach provides peace of mind for us as a manufacturer and you as an operator. Our pneumatic security system is far more reliable than the electromagnetic systems.

Cascos 4 post lifts have an indicator to ensure perfect levelling of the platforms. Not only is this better for working (particularly if being used for wheel alignment), but it also ensures longer life.

Other notable features are thermal protected motors, speed control valves, manual descent valve and adjustable timer.

This model hasn’t changed in 30 years, because it hasn’t needed to! Utilising all the proven features and technology from our 2 post lifts, this model is ideal for both private dwellings or public facilities, city centre businesses etc.

As well as the standard 3ph version, this lift is also available in 1ph 240v, thus making it a simple addition in domestic or non-industrial locations.
