Furthermore, by stimulating the muscle, electrostimulation helps to quicklyrecover muscle tone, permitting a return to resistance activities thanks to
which the muscle can regain trophism.By squeezing blood towards the heart, muscle contraction drains liquidsthat, in the absence of activity, stagnate, further fuelling suffering in theinjured tissues. The muscle pumping action produced by the electrostimulated contractionreduces the effect of oedemas caused by vein or lymphatic stagnation, which are linked to the trauma and immobilization, thus favouring the reco-very of injured limbs.
Electrostimulation is also able to sedate the transfer of pain sent to thebrain from the injured area, thanks to the electrical impulses temporarilyswitching off the nerve endings in the area concerned.

OPERATION WITH SELF-STICKING ELECTRODES
The self-sticking silicone electrodes are applied directly on the skin and donot require soaking.Clean area of application and dry well.Connect the clips to the electrodes and remove the protective film from the
electrode. After treatment has been completed, carefully replace the pro-tective film.Place the self-sticking electrodes in contact with the skin at the desiredpoints for the application and programme selected, checking that it adhe-res closely to the skin.
Informationi
Before using the electrodes check that the surface gel is not dete-
riorated. Check that the electrodes are intact (free of tears, breaka-
ges, etc)

The buckskin part of the electrode (yellow side) must come into con-
tact with the skin. The buckskin electrodes can be used for those
treatments performed on larger body areas and where it is possible
to apply the elastic bands.
Since an electrode is larger that the adhesive one, it is enough to useless channels than what is shown in the pictures.

Before using the electrodes, check that they are intact (free of tears,
breakages, etc.)

If the electrodes come into contact with one another, they generate a shortcircuit, which locks out the channel and its light will be turned off.Eliminate the short circuit immediately, for example by separating the elec-trodes that had came into contact. The electrostimulator will reactivate the channel.
Adjust the intensity of the disabled channel using the keysv (up arrow L)to increase intensity, w (down arrow M) to decrease it.
Thanks to its integrated, automatic protection devices, the electrostimula-tor is not damaged by malfunction or electronic short circuit.
END OF TREATMENT
When the treatment has been completed place the MiaPharma MP6Challenge electrostimulatorin a safe place out of the reach of children.
When the treatment has been completed:- disconnect the cables from the electrodes;- remove the adhesive electrodes and replace the special protective film
(if the treatment is performed with bands and buckskin electrodes, with-
draw the electrodes from the bands, remove them and dry the electrodesin a single layer without overlapping);
- gather up the cables in an orderly fashion;- turn the main switch to "zero" (if the unit stays on, its functioning is not
compromised).

Application notes for the use of the MiaPharma MP6challen-ge electrostimulator in sports.
Warm-up
The electrical stimulation produced by the electrostimulatorprepares the involved muscle area for training by increasingthe flow of blood within the circumscribed area, thus preven-ting undesired pathologies to the involved muscles.N.B.: the electrostimulation only prepares the muscles directly
involved and does not protect the other muscles from strainsunless they are also adequately warmed up.
This type of programme is used before any of the other pro-grammes reported below. The action of this programme is alsoimportant prior to competition or severe training.
Strength
Electrical stimulation acts mainly on the white muscle fibresable to develop a great deal of strength. It is a parameter of fundamental importance for all sports disci-plines.
Depending on the individual sport, this motor skill is trained
more or less intensely. The current methods of athletic preparation associate electro-stimulation with normal weight training before or after theworkout (pre- and post-fatigue).2/3 times a week is more than enough for any level of prepa-ration.
Explosive strength
This is the capacity, which is most greatly enhanced using theelectrostimulator because it is able to recruit all muscle fibres, even at a low workload. The sports involved in the development of this are: soccer, vol-leyball, basketball, weightlifting, track cycling, etc.
The times and methods are similar to those used for strength.
Endurance strength
We speak of endurance strength when the muscles are requi-red to make a great effort for an extended period of time. The sports most involved are: cycling, cross-country skiing, triathlon, etc.
Modest intensity electrostimulation should be used the daybefore the training or on training off days.
Aerobic resistance
With constant use this programme can help increase the num-ber of capillaries surrounding the muscle fibre (capillarization). This is fundamental for all endurance sports, which do not
require significant muscle strength: walking, swimming, cycling (as well as the above), etc.
It should be used on all off days when not training or even aftertraining which was not intensive.N.B.: all the training methods are understood as valid only forthe muscles principally involved in the sport performed.

Suggestions for athletic preparation
Electrostimulation provides the greatest results when combi-ned with classical weight training; this has been confirmed bymany studies particularly for strength programmes. The ability of the electrostimulator to recruit an increasingnumber of muscle fibres, even at low intensity and without anystrain on the joints, places it at the forefront of post-traumarehabilitation methods.
Working out
Bodybuilding and weightlifting give electrostimulation thehighest rating of all training methods. This is because it can towork on small portions of the muscle, "tiring" them in depth, making it possible to exclusively defining certain parts of the
body.
Soccer, volleyball, handball, tennis, skiing, basketball
Team sports lend themselves to the use of electrostimulation:
whether combined with workout in the gym or alone. The same muscle trained in the gym can be trained by elec-trostimulation, either before or after, thus increasing the bene-fits of the training.
Cycling, running, cross-country skiing, swimming
Of all the above sports, cycling is the one that reaps the grea-test benefit from electrostimulation. It is no coincidence thatnumerous professional athletes throughout the entire competi-tive season use it.
As opposed to team sports, in these sports, to prevent overti-ring the muscles involved electrostimulation must be separatefrom training. To achieve the greatest results, two programmesmust be used:
endurance strength and aerobic resistance, one after the otherduring the days when the athlete is not participating in classi-cal training.

Notes on the application of the MiaPharma MP6 Challengefor massage and relaxation.
Massage
When performed over the body, the electric stimulation emittedby the unit provides a massaging effect that relieves soremuscles and joint pain. The action tends to tone up and relaxsome tissues but also preserves and improves one's psy-chophysical wellbeing, eliminating tensions and relieving the
day's fatigue.
It is indicated in all cases of muscular or articular aches andpains due to physical strain or to the posture held throughoutthe work day in a sedentary job.
Post-training run down
This relaxes the muscles and helps eliminate the aches of trai-ning and prevent muscle cramps. In addition, it also providesa pain reduction effect improving the natural muscle recoveryphase.
This serves mainly to reduce or eliminate the lactic acid thataccumulates in the muscles during, and subsequent to, pro-longed physical activity. When the muscles are achy, it helpsincrease the pain threshold.

Relaxation
Again in this case electric stimulation helps with a true andproper relaxation program to counteract daily stress, achievinga sensation of well-being throughout the entire body, relievingthe tensions that have accumulated during the day.
This program counteracts daily stress, providing moments ofprofound, pleasant relaxation. It helps one recover energy by
relaxing the muscle bundles being stimulated.Capillarization
This mainly serves to oxygenate the muscles, enhancing theflow of nutrients and blood within the treated area.Capillarization ensures that there is greater oxygen and bloodflow during moments of strain; moreover, it also reduces the
production of lactic acid, increasing the number of capillariesaround the fibers, making them more resistant to fatigue.
This function helps improve prolonged physical activity (aero-bic activity), esthetic programs and preparation for physicalfatigue (sports activities). Use of this program is recommendedbefore returning to a physical activity (heavy manual laborrequiring significant physical effort), particularly after an exten-
ded interruption. It also is indicated for those suffering fromjoint pain and tendonitis and for those who perform physicallabor and wish to improve their muscle strength and enhancethe quality of muscle contraction.

SEPARATION DISTANCES BETWEEN PORTABLE AND MOBILE RADIO COMMUNICATION APPLIANCES AND THE MP6 CHALLENGE ELECTROSTIMULATOR
The MP6 Challenge electrostimulator has been designed to work in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are under control.
The client or operator of the MP6 Challenge electrostimulator con help prevent electromagnetic interferences by guaranteeing a minimum distance between RF mobile and portable communi-
cation appliances (transmitters) and the MP6 Challenge electrostimulator, as recommended below, in relation to the maximum rated output power of the radio communication appliances.
Separation distance based on the frequency of the transmitter (m)
Max. rated output from 150 kHz to 80 MHz from 80 MHz to 800 MHz from 800 MHz to 2,5 GHz
