TuRNINg ON THe gpsBefore you can use the watch to collect speed, pace, and distance data, you must turn on the GPS and acquire a satellite fix.

1. Takethewatchoutsideandawayfrombuildingsandtalltrees.

2. Makesurethewatchisfacingthesky;donotblocktheGPSantennainthebottompartofthewatchface.

3. Stand still.

4. PressGPSON/OFF.

The and iconsflashwhentheGPSissearchingforsatellites.Theyturnsolidwhenthefixisachieved, andmore“bars”inthe icon indicate a stronger fix.

NOTe:Heavycloudcoverorrainmaymakeitdifficulttoacquireasatellitefix.

usINg RuN MOdeUseRunmodewhenyouneedtobeabletoviewspeed,distance,pace,orcaloriedatawhileaworkoutisinprogress.Youmightwanttoviewthisdatatohelpyoubuildenduranceataspecificspeed,ortofocusoncompletinga5kracewithinaparticulargoaltime.YoucannotviewdataforyourcurrentlapfromRunmode.

RunmodeandChronomodesharethetimer,soyoucanswitchfreelybetweenthetwomodeswhiletheworkoutisrunningbypressingMODE.SwitchtoChronomodeifyouwanttoviewlapdata.

NOTe:YoucantakesplitsinRunmode,butyoucanviewindividuallapdataonlyinChronomode.

Changing the diSplay vieWWhileaworkoutisinprogress,youcancyclethroughseveralviewscreensthateachdisplaydifferentdataaboutyourworkout.

TherearefourdisplaysinRunmode.Allofthedisplaysshowtheelapsedtimeandthetotaldistancetraveled,butdatainthethirdlineofthedisplayisdifferentforeach.Thefirstshowscurrentpace,thesecondshowscurrentspeed,thethirdshowscaloriesburned,andthefourthshowstheprimarytimezone.

Usethedisplaystoknowhowtochangeyourworkouttoachieveyourgoals.Forexample,ifyourpaceistoofast,youmaygettiredbeforeyourruniscomplete.Slowdowntomakeyourtimegoalandstillfinishtherun.

TAKINg splITsWhat are lap and Split timeS? Laptimeisthelengthofanindividualsegmentofyourworkout.Splittimeisthetimeelapsedfromthebeginningofyourworkoutthroughthecurrentsegment.

Whenyou“takeasplit”,youhavecompletedtimingonesegment(suchasonelap)andarenowtimingthenext segment.
