INTRODUCTION This manual, drafted up by the Manufacturer according to the EEC directive 89/392 and to its integrations, is aimed to inform the operator about the correct way of using and maintaining the machine. The full reading of the manual is compulsory before undertaking any type of operation on the machine: installation, starting or maintenance. For further information or request for spare parts, the machine’s identification data are to be quoted (see next page), to facilitate our technical assistance. The user is asked not to tamper with or take off the protection or other parts of the machine (except the exchangeable tools): any alteration would lead to the decadence of our Declaration of Conformity drafted in accordance with the EEC 89/ 392 Directive, and would also invalidate the Guarantee. The producer can’t be held responsible for any inci dent, if the machine has been modified, tampered, deprived of its both remov able and fixed protections; or if it has been used for operations not stated by the producer. ___________________________________________________________________ BEWARE! 1.02 Weight Size & Transport The weight of “TAURUS DIGISPEED” is 22 kg, the machine is delivered wrapped in a bubbled plastic covering and put into a wooden box whose size is: 74 x 54 x 51 cm. 1. 03 Air noise Data The machine has been tested following the D.L. 277 dated 15/08/1991. Together with it, there is a card, which is to be carefully filled up, signed and sent to the Manufacturing House address. Besides the identification data, it’s quite necessary to specify the date of purchase indicated in your fiscal document, in order to certify the beginning of the Guarantee. The technical data required for filling up the card are to be taken off as showed at the point 1.1.

II FUNCTIONING 2.01 Provided conditions of use and Working Plac e The machine “TAURUS DIGISPEED“ is suitable to work on marble and granite for: - edges with bull profile, or flat, or any other shape of profile, carried out with proper tools for each profile. Any other use is forbidden. We don’t accept any res ponsibility in case of improper use of the machines. The operator has to stand in front of “ Taurus DIGISPEED” as the machine is to be used by hands. 2.02 Installation 2.03 Electric connection __________________________________________________________________ BEWARE !

*Do not connect the Tripower Box to the net voltage . *with the open lid, and do not open when it is unde r voltage! *Not respecting it could cause injuries to the machine’s user. . __________________________________________________________________________________________

d ) Push the green button to start the machine and stop it with the emergency button and make sure the spindle turns in the right way (like indicated by the arrow). If not, disconnect the box alimentation from the net and invert two wires in the machine (L2, L3).

* Never start the TAURUS machine without the Internal running water since this could damage the spindle’s washers. ___________________________________________________________________

2.04 Commands description When the red emergency stop button on the right side of the machine is pressed, the display will light the red "ALM" (alarm), to enable the machine to unlock the emergency button by turning it counterclockwise. Step 4 SETTING THE RPM.

The RPS of omasystem’s wheels is the following:

POS.1 e POS.2 6000 RPM

POS. 3 4500 RPM

POS. 4 POS. 5 POS. 6 3500 RPM

The RPM of the positions 3 to 6 can be changed depending on the material worked.

F2 and change the value with the arrows UP and

DOWN

Press ENTER to store the changes in the RPM.

The display will confirm the change

The machine is now set with the new speed and ready

to work by pressing the RUN

Note: If the initial incorrect button being pressed repeatedly press the ESC key to return to the home screen.

2.05 Starting the Taurus DIGISPEED A) Starting the TAURUS DIGISPEED machine is sufficient to turn clockwise the emergency red button if inserted and push the green one. ___________________________________________________________________

This is the spindles changes scheme.

III MAINTENANCE 3.01 Maintenance ________________________________________________________________ BEWARE! Never blow air or other substances in the box to avoid to damage the interior of it and the electric connections. ___________________________________________________________________ Check periodically the water holes are not obstructed. 3.02 Cleaning Once finished the work, disconnect the machine from electricity and clean it with a damp cloth. ___________________________________________________________________ BEWARE! NEVER CLEAN THE DEVICE WITH RUNNING WATER SINCE A SEEPAGE COULD CAUSE FUNCTIONING PROBLEMS ___________________________________________________________________

IV WARNINGS & REMAINING RISKS 4.01 General warning of security Before starting the device, it is compulsory to wear no-noise headphones, protection glasses and a leather apron. Don’t wear rings, watches, jewels, unlaced or dangling clothes, such as ties, scarves, snatched clothes, unlaced jacket or blouse with opened zip, which could get snagged in the movement parts. Never approach the tools with face, hands or something else. Not respecting it could cause injuries to the machine’s user. Do not use the machine for different purposes from the ones it has been manufactured. Do not allow anybody who is not qualified to work on the machine. Ask your employer about the security rules in force, and about the security disposals against accidents. Before using the machine get sure that there isn’t any possibility of danger. Inform the maintenance staff about any operation’s irregularity. Never use the machine without its special protections provided by the manufacturer. 4.02 Reflux water after processing Reflux water after processing can’t be conveyed into sewerage, not underground, nor on the ground. It is to be collected and drained according to the law in force and to the local rules. 4.03 Putting out of order & dismantling For machine’s dismantling follow the rules and law in force on matter. So for the no - iron - made parts, they are to be sent to a qualified Company, while the iron - made parts, can be sold. 4.0.3 Remaining risks The Manufacturer considers that by using the provided protections there isn’t any risk left by using the machine. The operator has anyway the duty to comply with the law in force, on matter of worker security, and specially with the Order in Council 19.09.94 nr. 626.
