Cortamáx is a machine for cutting walls for the installation of electric, hydraulic, and heating lines, among others. With Cortamáx, you can cut all kinds of bricks, whether hollow or solid, cement blocks and walls with more to practicity, safety, and quality. Never use it to cut concrete and floors.

Warning:

• Make sure there are no electricity, gas or water lines before cutting the wall.

• Always use safety goggles. • Do not touch the disc immediately after use for it will be hot.

II. Operation Before usage:

• Check discs are in good conditions. In case of any broken tooth or any other irregularities, change discs.

• Check if regulation bolts of the front rollers are adequately fastened. Operaating Cortamáx: 1. Align the groove in the front rollers with the marking on the wall to be cut. (Fig. 1. 2. Securely hold the front handle with one hand, and the back handle with the other hand. Place only the front handle against the wall. The disc cannot touch the wall before the maximum speed is reached. Press the power button and at same time push back handle forward to turn machine on. (Fig. 2).

3. When the machine reaches maximum speed, slowly lean the disc against the wall until the back roller touches the wall (Fig. 3 and 4).

4 During cutting, make sure you move the machine forward at a steady speed (Fig. 5 and 6).

To avoid the overheating of the motor due to continuous use, stop working with the wall chaser every 1 hour and wait for 30 minutes for it to cool, before you turn it on again. This procedure will sensibly increase the life of your Cortamáx.

III. Removing the toothed disc. Before beginning, see if disc is not hot. 1. Unplug machine. 2. Use wrench 1 (M) to lock the shaft. 3. Use wrench 2 (N) to unfasten disc counterclockwise. (Fig.7) 4. Remove the disc carefully. (Fig. 8) 5. Clean the machine is necessary.

Note: During the installation of the disc, lubricate the shaft thread with grease or industrial vaseline for easy removal after use.

If you notice disc knife is blind remove it and sharpen it with you appropriate tools (Fig. 10).

Always work with sharp discs. Blind discs not only make cutting more difficult, but also can provoke mechanic and electric damage. V. Installing the aspiration hose (Fig. 11) 1. Unplug machine. 2. Open the dust aspiration set cover 3. Fit plastic connector into spiral hose. 4. Connect dust aspiration hose (not included) to plastic connector (included).

2. Unfasten regulation bolts. 3. Place roller in the desired position. (Fig. 12) 4. Fasten nuts again. (Fig. 13)

Replace the carbon brush when it is worn out to avoid damage to the rotor collector pan. Whenever the coal change indicator light (K) flashes, this means that it is worn out and will last no longer than 20 hours. The carbon brush must last 200 hours on average. Discs lifecycle The discs can sharpened by files approximately 40 times, depending on the type of material the wall is made of, as follows:

Hollow brick- 6000mts Solid brick- 3500mts Cement block- 3500mts Plastered wall - 3000mts
