Mangrove Habitat Restoration Project

Objectives: To restore denuded coastal areas in
the sanctuary. To give shelter to wildlife and
endangered species. To promote closer relationship
among the community.
Despite increasing awareness regarding value and importance, the destruction of mangrove forest continues to take place in many parts of the world under a variety of economic as-well-as political motives. In some areas, mangroves are protected by law but a lack of enforcement coupled with the economic incentive to reclaim land can result in deliberate destruction. Escalating pressure on mangrove populations and increasing quantities of pollutants reaching coastal and intercostals waters has brought new interest in the importance of mangroves to a healthy marine ecology.
Need for the Project
Goal:
Our goal is to ensure the survival of the worlds various mangrove species through preservation and conservation.
Project Activity
This project is for the replanting of mangroves in identified degraded areas in an effort to restore and rehabilitate such areas. With this mind, I gathered friends who’s willing to plant mangroves in the sanctuary.
I gathered my friends to make this project possible.
We went to the Sanctuary last November 10, 2012 @ exactly 2 in the afternoon.
We do planting mangrove at the sanctuary and we all had so much fun.
With the help of my friends, we made the project a successful one. We save not only the endangered species in the coastal area but also the people who will benefit this project. Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. We are all gratified for this project.
Behind every successful project there is always an ambitious dream, a quality for impressive image and a great deal of both hard work and determination. Thanks for the help guys!
