The course is for people who wish to develop and visualize a new world through illustration. The course req uires no prereq uisite skill in Manga or Anime nor exp erience in drawing or animation. Students will learn the basic skills needed to develop their character, props and the fantasy world. The character on this pamphlet is the mascot character of Kyoto Computer Gakuin and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics called “ Kyocotan.” She has a ribbon that looks like a power switch of a computer and wears a hair band that holds the Kyoto Tower to imply Kyoto.     After graduating from Osaka University of Arts, she worked as a CG designer at Konami. Presently, she produces 2DCG and graphics for animation and games. She has drawn graphics for many consumer games, from early Super Famicon to PS4, and smartphone apps. In conjunction with such titles, Ms. Suma has won numerous awards in the gaming industry.

    Kyoto Computer Gakuin Kamogawa Campus school building is on the banks of the Kamogawa River that flows from North to South of Kyoto City. This comfortable and refreshing atmosphere provides a peaceful setting for your creative inspirations and activities. Nearby, there is a world heritage site, Shimogamo Shrine, as well as the Tadasunomori forest which you can soak yourself in ancient Kyoto heritage.

    In 1963, Kyoto Computer Gakuin started as the first computer educational institution in Japan, and since then, more than 40,000 graduates have been produced. In 2004, Japan's first IT professional graduate school, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics was established.

    The Japanese language school of the ISI group started the first school in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture in 1992. Currently there are two in Tokyo (Takadanobaba · Ikebukuro) and also in Kyoto. We provide optimum environment for studying Japanese and Japanese culture to more than 2,000 international students per year.

    This workshop is a collaboration between ISI (International Study Institute), and Kyoto Computer Gakuin and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics.
