Mayor’s message The past 12 months have highlighted to us all what it means to be Australian. As recent global events have unfolded, our true Aussie spirit has shone in the ways we have supported, comforted and encouraged each other through tough times. The challenges we’ve faced have also allowed us to reflect on our Australian values, and have reminded us of how lucky we are to live in the best place in the world. This year, we are so thankful to be able to come together locally in a safe way to reflect, respect and celebrate, and share our local stories. Our amazing local heroes will be recognised and close to 130 new citizens from 21 different countries will take their pledge. The exciting line-up of activations across the weekend will allow us to collectively celebrate our community and our way of life here in beautiful Mandurah.See you there! - Rhys Williams, Mayor of Mandurah

Australians all let us rejoice

For we are one and free

We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil

Our home is girt by sea

Our land abounds in nature’s gifts

Of beauty, rich and rare

In history’s page let every stage

Advance Australia fair

In joyful strains then let us sing

Advance Australia fair

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross

We’ll toil with hearts and hands

To make this Commonwealth of ours

Renowned of all the lands

For those who’ve across the seas

We’ve boundless plains to share

With courage let us all combine

To advance Australia fair

In joyful strains then let us sing

Advance Australia fair
