Duties and Responsibilitiesof Each Position
CEO/DIRECTOR
• Direct and control the company’s operations
• Give strategic guidance and direction to the board
• Prepare a corporate plan and annual business plan
• Monitor progress against these plans
GENERAL MANAGER DIRECTOR
• Directs and coordinates activities of one or more departments
• Aids chief administrative officers in formulating and administering organization policies
• Obtains profit contribution by managing staff
• Accomplishing business objectives.
TECHNICAL ADVISER
• Expert in a particular field of knowledge (provide detailed information and advice)
• Ensure that their policies and procedures are robust to handle the hazards
PROJECT MANAGER
• Professional in the field of project management
• Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives
STRUCTURE ENGINEER
• Concerned with the design and physical integrity of buildings and other large structures
• Ensure the safety and durability of the project
CHIEF SURVEY
• Responsible for upcoming field tasks
• Ensure that the work is performed to company quality standards
• Makes sure that the results are presented in a manner that is accurate, efficient, timely
QUANTITY SURVEYOR
• Advice on construction costs
• Ensure that proposed projects are affordable
• Help to assess and compare different options
CONSTRUCTION GROUP• Responsible for inspecting and reporting on
virtually every phase of the construction process
• Ensure contract documents properly execute specifications
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship
SITE INSPECTORS
• Plan, monitor and direct construction projects
• Review building codes, local ordinances and zoning laws
SITE SUPERVISOR
• Coordinate and control all physical aspects of the day-to-day working on construction projects
• Assess and manage safety hazards in the workplace
SITE WORKER
• Assist on building and construction sites by doing a range of manual laboring jobs
• Specialize by working with particular
tradespeople as a trade assistant
DIRECTOR FINANCE
• Works with all departments of the business to help them plan and manage their budgets

equipment and vehicles in line with the project requirements.

PLANT & MACHINERY SUPERVISOR
• Administer all employee schedules and provide training to subordinates
• Maintains record of all raw materials
coming to plant and maintain efficient safety regulations
• Provide training if required to improve working and monitor

• Salary & working hours must be stated (2.5-3.5k salary & 8 working hours Mon – Sat)
• Post an ad on jobstreet.com or involve in exhibition fairs in universities to promote the company
• Have to find these employees within 6 months time period.
Selection Criterion• Work long term and able to commit future to the company
• Bachelor/Masters degree holder with minimum 1 year working experience (fresh grads)
• Highly self motivated, able to converse in English, Chinese and BM, good interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel around to develop the company

• Has leadership qualities and able to work co-operatively in a team

Activity 2The DISC index is a test to gain knowledge of the
participants’ characteristic. If their characteristic
fits with our company’s criteria, then they will
be selected to go through the next selection
process. It will be difficult for someone who
doesn’t have the appropriate characteristic to
do this job as it drains and requires a lot of
Energy.
• The candidates will then be required to go through the DISC index personality test.
• Our company who are looking for capable team players will then use a benchmark for the score from their test
• For example, our company will set a benchmark score of 4 from a scale of 1-5, 1 being weak and 5 being strong
Activity 3• From the candidates, they are divided into groups
• They will be given a company to identify what the company is doing
• Find out where the areas that need improvement are and how that company can achieve this improvement.
• They are to come up with the answers based on their research and their knowledge of management skills
• Candidates will be evaluated based on their knowledge of management skills and their ability to work together as a team.
• They will then present their findings to the board of directors of the company in order to convince them that the company needs changes from time to time.
