First level to register the protocoled receipt of a Previous Consultation until all documentation needed for assessment of eligibility is made available.

Projects in perspective are promoted to this operational level when the Priorities Department of the Planning Division of the BNDES (DEPRI/AP) considers that all documentation needed for assessment of eligibility is available.

The project reaches this level when the Eligibility and Credit Committee of the BNDES (CEC) understands that the Previous Consultation is in accordance with the operational policies of the BNDES and with the guidelines and criteria of the Amazon Fund. At this level, the beneficiary must supply additional detailed information on the project.

At this stage, the Management Department of the Amazon Fund of the Environment Division (DEFAM/AMA) begins the detailed analysis of the entire project.

Once the analysis is completed, the DEFAM/AMA forwards the technical recommendation for financial support for the project to the BNDES’ Board of Directors. Once approved, the applicant is requested to send the additional documentation required for contracting.

Once the contract has been signed, the project begins its operational phase. According to the terms of the signed contract, disbursements of the resources are made in installments, according to the physical-financial timetables agreed upon and the progress of the project, of which evidence will be made available through technical monitoring carried out by the BNDES/ Amazon Fund team.
