The European Health Management Association (EHMA) invites interested companies, institutions and individuals to

EHMA is the leading association linking health management policy, research and service delivery in Europe. Health

policy makers. Active since 1982, EHMA has more than 170 members in more than 38 countries and has a strong record in

ABOUT BIRMINGHAM 2014

Hosted by University of Birmingham, the 2014 EHMA Annual Conference "Leadership in healthcare: from bedside to

board" is to take place beautiful surroundings of the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) from 24-26 June 2014.

Health systems in Europe are facing unparalleled levels of challenge, complexity and uncertainty. Health system leaders,

at every level, have a responsibility to engage with and tackle the enduring problems of funding constraints, technological

developments, cost pressures, increasing chronic disease, ageing populations and growing societal expectations and

demands.

From the frontline to board level the quality of leadership is a crucial determinant of the quality, effectiveness and safety

of health services. Effective leadership is needed not just within organisations but across them, in health systems and

networks, across sectoral boundaries such as health and social care, and across the public, private and not for profit

sectors. Many of the current challenges for health systems require leaders who can create teams across healthcare and

other sectors, lead networks, create a stable and motivated workforce and be accountable to boards, funders, the public

and patients as well.

Interactive sessions and several networking opportunities together with an informal and relax atmosphere will facilitate

discussions and exchanges among representatives of all health sectors coming from all around Europe and beyond.

General Sponsorship Packages: Platinum, Gold and Silver

Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors of the EHMA Annual Conference benefit from supreme visibility vis-à-vis EHMA‟s

audience and conference delegates. They include:

advance conference marketing in all electronic and paper mailings and on the website;

onsite visibility in Birmingham via the printed programme, presence at a company stand, logos on and inserts

in delegate bags, verbal recognition in plenary settings, and others; and

visibility in all post-conference communications.

General sponsors (Platinum, Gold or Silver) are entitled to a discount of 25 percent of any other items they may sponsor

Preconference Symposium Package

A sponsors may elect to support the preconference symposium, a highlight of EHMA Annual Conferences. A preconference

symposium offers the opportunity to discuss and explore a topic related to the theme of the conference in depth over five

hours. The preconference symposium on “Diagnosis Related Groups” (2009), on “Care and Treatment” (2010), or

“Systems change through IT” (2012), “Payment systems for healthcare services in the Nordic countries – now and in the

future. Paying for quality in the quest for value In healthcare” (2013) were well received and attended each by more than

80 participants. Admission to the preconference symposium carries a separate registration fee from which EHMA members

are exempt. Topics and programmes will be developed by EHMA, with advice from the sponsor. For the fee and a list of

Satellite Session Package

Sponsors may support a specific dedicated session during the conference, and will benefit from exclusive visibility and

direct interaction with delegates in the session. The conference will feature up to two one-hour satellite sessions over

lunch on Day 2 and Day 3 of the Annual Conference, with lunch served in the room. The concept of a satellite session was

inaugurated in 2008 and resulted in a substantial number of participants (between 30 and 50 participants). The topic of

the satellite session need not be related to the conference theme, and will be developed in cooperation with the sponsor.

Social Dinner Package

The Social Dinner is the highlight of the conference‟s social programme. It is an evening with food, drink and music that

allows EHMA members to relax and enjoy the company of fellow attendees in a special setting removed from the

conference/hotel venue. The format can be adapted to local circumstances: in 2009 in Innsbruck the dinner was held in a

baroque regal setting; in 2010 in Lahti it was a dinner cruise on a Finnish lake. In 2011 in Porto and 2012 in Bern the

dinners took place in restaurants with terraces and splendid views on the host cities, while in 2013 it took place in astonish

15th century Franciscan monastery. The sponsor may either support the social dinner financially, or provide the social

dinner venue, food and drink in-kind.

SMALL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

EHMA seeks sponsors for a variety of individual items that offer presence and visibility at the EHMA Annual Conference.

Platinum, Gold or Silver Sponsors are entitled to a discount of 25 percent.

Delegate Lanyards (1) Fee: € 3,000

The Sponsor of the delegate lanyards is entitled to have the company name/logo (or product name and logo) printed

on the badge lanyard handed to each delegate. The lanyards will be produced and paid for by the sponsor (EHMA will

identify an appropriate vendor).

Delegate Bags (1) Fee: € 4,000

The Sponsor of the delegate bags will be entitled to have the company name/logo (or product name and logo)

printed on the delegate bags handed to each delegate upon registration. The style and colour of the bag will be

coordinated with EHMA, as well as the print logo design which will need to contain the EHMA logo, conference title

and logo, as well as the logo of the Platinum Sponsor (if applicable). Delegate bags sponsor will produce and pay for

bags (EHMA will identify an appropriate vendor).

Notepads and Pens (1) Fee: € 2,000

The Sponsor of the notepads and pens will be entitled to have the company name/logo (or product name and logo)

printed on the notepads and pens handed to each delegate in the delegate bags. They will be produced and paid for

by the sponsor (EHMA will identify an appropriate vendor).

Insert in Congress Bag (max 15) Fee: € 2,000

A printed insert (max A4) to be include in each delegate bag, to be produced by the sponsor.

Ads in the Programme Booklet (max 6) Fee: € 2,000

Exclusive ½ page company/product advertisement printed in the printed Conference Programme.

Conference Lunch (2) Fee: € 4,000

Receive exclusive visibility over lunch by serving as lunch sponsor. EHMA staff will verbally acknowledge sponsor.

Sponsor can post up to four rollups or other visual signs featuring sponsor logo and the lunch sponsorship during the

lunch.

Conference coffee break (3) Fee: € 1,500

Receive exclusive visibility over a morning or afternoon coffee break by serving as coffee break sponsor. Sponsor can

post up to four rollups or other visual signs featuring sponsor logo and the coffee break sponsorship during the

coffee break.

Company stand (5) Fee: €3,000

Opportunity for company presence (with table, handouts, company materials, and rollups) and interaction with

conference attendees. One company representative is admitted to attend the stand; participation in the conference

or social activities carries extra cost.

Wireless internet access Fee: € 3,000

Receive exclusive visibility and recognition in the onsite conference programme as the provider of wireless internet

access for conference participants. Comes with one insert in the conference delegate bags.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

General: Sponsorships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsors need to be committed to the

advancement of health management and be supportive of EHMA‟s mission and values to participate in this

conference. EHMA retains the right to reject any sponsorship offer.

Additional cost: The fee entitles the sponsor to take advantage of the opportunities listed in the overview. Any

additional costs, i.e. creation of logo or advertisement, production of banners/rollup, personnel or travel costs of

attending the conference, shipment is to be covered by the sponsor separately.

Sublet: A sponsor may not sublet, assign or apportion any part of the item(s) sponsored, nor represent, advertise or

distribute literature or materials for the products or services of any other organisation except as approved in writing

by EHMA.

In kind sponsorship: Sponsorship is not limited to financial support, but can also include the provision of material or

services. Should your company be interested in a sponsorship package not listed in this brochure, please contact

EHMA.

Free conference admissions: Please note that sponsorship packages only include free conference admissions where

explicitly stated. Sponsors entitled to one or more free conference admissions should communicate the names of the

individuals to EHMA at the latest two weeks before the conference. The free admission covers the conference fee,

but not accommodation or transportation.

Company stand: Sponsors entitled to a company stand will receive from EHMA a table (125x70cm) and two chairs in

conference hall lobby (Platinum: two tables). It is recommended that this be augmented by additional material such

as a rollup or poster, and that companies present flyers, catalogues, samples, etc.

Print ad specs: All images provided for ads should be final, colour corrected, hi-resolution (300dpi) CMYK files. The files

should be provided both in JPEG and TIF/EPS. Hi-Res images should not be scaled more than 115% to maintain

image quality. All files have to be send to EHMA contact by 22 April 2013.

Logo specs: The logo should be provided both in JPEG and in EPS format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
