    Directing:

    a) Supervision

To be able to achieve an efficient and stable working environment, W.M.W. will utilize the Consultative

type of directing because our management believes that The key to a successful leadership is influence,

not authority. The Supervisors and Managers will engage the subordinates efficaciously in the

decision making and problem solving process. Employees will have the power to engage inconsultation with the leader and are able to make suggestions which they know would be taken

in seriously. With this type of directing applied in my Firm, Supervisors and Managers will beable to involve the development of his employees by being kept aware of their needs and wants.

    b) Motivation

In motivating the employees, W.M.W. will keep in mind the principles of the Expectancy Theory of

motivation. Company staffs being motivated only by the expectations of rewards wouldnt be that bad for

this Firm because since the Firm supports staff career growth and development, stuffs like promotions

and transfers will always be available for them as remunerations for their efforts.

With Expectancy Theory in mind, W.M.W. maintains satisfaction of other employees

through non-biased decisions within the company as stated in another theory of

motivation, the Equity Theory. With this theory, the company will be able to explain

to the employees that the promotions and other benefits given to other employees

were only the resultants of their effort and no unfairness was involved.

    c) Communication

With the Consultative approach of directing in effect, the communication within the company will of

course be a two-way type of communication.
