About Prarambh : Prarambh is a management fest started by the students of Management Education Centre, Heritage Institute of Technology in the year 2006. Prarambh is a student centered management fest focused on building skills and knowledge for the upcoming managers in the field of management and to make them encounter challenges which they are expected to face in the corporate world. The purpose of this fest is to provide students with the opportunity in organizing, planning, directing and controlling an organization dedicated to the promotion of advancement of the art and science of Management.

Prarambh has been a platform where creativity meets reality. It has been the effective collaboration of creative minds which has instilled the zeal in them and impelled the youth from its inception.

Prarambh is the beginning... It is the beginning of a journey towards enlightenment ...a journey of reconciliation and realization ... a journey through moments that will become memories...

Prarambh: "Instilling Zeal Impelling youth", was first celebrated in the year 2006 with a huge success. Since then Prarambh has always been on the rise. We plan to get bigger and better every year, and yet in 2012, we plan to make it one of the biggest Management fest among all B Schools.

The relevance of the theme Hollywood Calling to modern management issues have been widely acknowledged by a number of readers and critics. Hollywood provides thought provoking insights into issues related to power, authority, leadership, decision making, disaster and crisis management.

Hollywood is like life, you face it with the sum total of your equipment. It is a place where a man can get stabbed from the back while climbing a ladder.Hollywood is an extraordinary kind of temporary place and the pendulum in

Event Schedule & Rules: Day 1(Friday), 3rd Feb 2012

Registration Time: 9:00 am onwards, Venue: Gate no. 4

Opening Ceremony Time: 9:30 am to 10:00 am, Venue: Seminar Hall A

Business Summit Time 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, Venue: Seminar Hall A

Tea Break Time 12:00 noon to 12:30 pm, Venue: Seminar Hall A

High School Musical (Battle of Bands)Venue: Ground, Timing: 11 am to 4 pm

Time Limit 8mins (2 mins for sound check). Drum kit will be provided (Carry your own brassware n

brassware stands). Maximum 2 microphones will be provided for backing vocals

(excluding that of the lead vocalist). 15 min before the performance, each band is requested to

submit 3 copies of lyrics of each song they would be performing. Registration Fees per band is Rs.100/. Bands will only be officially registered when a hard copy

containing the name of the band and its members along with the registration fees (cash) will be handed over to the concerned authorities prior to performing.

2 participants 1 team oer college Rs 100 will be provided Need to put up any kind of business out of that cash

(Except selling of tobacco Or alcoho The participant has to maintain the list of 'legitimate'

expenses and 'legitimate' incomes. The event would commence from 11 am and your business time will end by 3 pm

Judges decision would be final in all response.

The Fast and The Furious (Gaming)Venue: Computer Lab, Timing 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Unlimited members from colleges. Entry fees Rs. 40 and Rs. 20 on re entry (only once). Knockout Round stats from 3 pm onwards ( No re entry after

that). Personal mouse or keyboard or any other peripherals will be

allowed. Any damage to the assets provided will subject to spot fine.

Slumdog Millionaire (Business Quiz)Venue: GD/PI Room, Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

2 members per team. 1 team per college. Quiz Master’s rule shall be final.

Surrogates (Business Plan)Venue: Seminar Hall A, Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Max 4 participants (minimum 2). 1 team per college. Max 7 minutes to present and 3 minutes to wind up. Next 10 minutes will be for the audience and judges to pose questions

related to the plan presented. Laptop and pen drive should be carried by the participant.

The Social Network (Webpage Design)Venue: Classroom No: 201, Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

1 participant. 1 team per college. Asp.Net language. 45 minutes time limit. Carry your laptops and software. VB Studio 2007. Front page plus Gallery plus 1 page.

Da Vinci Code (Sudoku/Crossword)Venue: Classroom No: 304, Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

2 participants. 2 teams per college. 1st round : puzzle (5 mins). 2nd round: Crossword (5 mins). 3rd round: Sudoku (9*9) (10 mins).

Jumanji (Treasure Hunt)Venue: Campus, Timing: 1:00 pm onwards

2 participants. 2 teams per college. Clues of 20 locations to be given to teams 10 mins before the

event. Max 30 minutes. Maps and mobile phones not allowed

The Great Debators (Debate)Venue: Seminar Hall A, Time: 3pm to 5pm

2 participants per team. 1 team per college. Topic to be given 30 minutes prior to the event either for/against

the motion. Any sort of ill behaviour will lead to disqualification.

Ultimate Manager (127 Hours)Venue: GD/PI Room, Time: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

3 interviewers, 1 interviewee. 1 team per college. 10 minutes interview round. Selection on chits basis.

Fusion Dance (Step Up)Venue: Ground, Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

10+2 participants. 1 team per college. Fusion of eastern and western compulsory (may be

in any form) Time:- for Performance-12 mins + 2 mins for set up. Exceeding time attractes negative points. carry your music cd/pen drive/dvd Last Date of Registration -1st Feb,2012 by 7 pm.

1 Participant. 2 teams per college. 3 minutes on stage. Character and Topic selection on chits basis.

Face Painting (The Illusionist)Venue: Classroom, Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

2 participants. 2 teams per college. Carry your own material. 45 minutes time limit. On spot theme to every team.

Short Film (Paranormal Activity)Venue: AV Hall, Time: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Duration of the film should be 14+3 mins. No objectionable content should be present in the film. If present the film will be

disqualified Film should be submitted in pendrive or dvd/cd.

Voiceover (Bicycle Thieves)Venue: Sem Hall A, Time: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

2 participant.s 2 teams per college. Visuals to be given 15 mins prior to the event.. 5 mins visual. Carry your own laptops.

Virtual Stock Market (Wall Street)Venue: Classroom, Time: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

2 participant. 2 teams per college. 8 virtual trading sessions of half an hour each.

Photography (The Conformist)Venue: College Premises, Time: 12:00 pm onwards.

Topic will be given to you on spot. No editing allowed all the clicks select 3 of the best clicks & submit Use DSLR or Digicam & also carry your own laptop.

Logo Designing (The Tattooist)Venue: Classroom, Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

2 participants. 1 team per college. Topic on spot. Carry your own materials. 30 minutes time limit.

Ad Mad Show (Mr. Bean)Venue: Sem Hall A, Time: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Max 5 participants. Max 5 minutes. Carry your own props. 1 team per college. Topic to every team one day prior to the event.

Creative Thinking (50 First Dates)Venue: AV Hall, Time: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

1 participant. 1 team per college. Speak for 3 minutes based upon on spot visual.

One Minute Show (The Truman Show)Venue: GD/PI Room, Time: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

1 participant. 2 teams per college. 1st round- 60 secs to fame (go as you like-elimination). Final round- 1 game applicable to all given by us.

Fashion Show (Confessions Of A Shopaholic)Venue: Ground, Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

8+2 participants per team. 1 team per college. For Performance- 10 mins + 3 mins for set up Exceeding time attracts negative marking. Carry your own music cd/dvd/pen drive. Last Date of registration- 2nd feb, by 7 pm.
