Villa Smeralda porta la firma di un noto architetto, Gianni Gamondi. Con questo progetto, Gamondi realizza il perfetto connubio tra natura e costruito: armonia tra paesaggio e architettura, articolato nella scelta di utilizzare materiali locali applicando la lezione sull’architettura organica, imparata dal suo maestro americano, Frank Lloyd Wright. Volumi puliti si distribuiscono secondo le pendenze del lotto, traslati tra loro, generando un sistema di percorsi e pause che definiscono la fruibilità degli spazi. Il punto di snodo dell’intero complesso costruito, è la villa principale insieme con il portico ad essa adiacente e la piscina. Satelliti sono invece le quattro piccole dependances che si distribuiscono nei circa 5000 metri quadri del parco circostante. Pini, mirti, cipressi, siepi e vegetazione fanno sì che la natura crei la cornice perfetta agli edifici.Realizzata nei primi anni settanta, Villa Smeralda, si caratterizza per i volumi semplici e per la totalità dei muri esterni rivestiti in pietra spaccata. Vi sono ampie finestrature in legno che permettono una vista continua sul parco e su Porto Rotondo con l’intento di creare un tutt’uno con il parco esterno, che diventa naturalmente il prolungamento della Villa. Le coperture sono piane e permettono la vista verso il mare della proprietà.

Villa Smeralda bears the signature of a well-known architect, Gianni Gamondi. With this project, Gamondi realizes the perfect union between nature and built: harmony between landscape and architecture, articulated in the choice of using local materials applying the lesson on organic architecture, learned from his American master, Frank Lloyd Wright.Clean volumes are distributed according to the slope of the lot, translated between them, generating a system of paths and breaks that define the usability of the spaces. The hub of the entire complex is the main villa together with the adjacent porch and the swimming pool. Satellites are the four small dependances distributed in the approximately 5000 square meters of the surrounding park. Pines, myrtles, cypresses, hedges and vegetation mean that nature creates the perfect setting for buildings.Built in the early seventies, Villa Smeralda, is characterized by simple volumes and the totality of the external walls covered in cracked stone. There are large wooden windows that allow a continuous view of the park and Porto Rotondo with the intent to create a whole with the outdoor park, which naturally becomes the extension of the Villa. The roofs are flat and allow the view towards the sea of the property.

La villaVilla Smeralda gode di un parco che si estende per una superficie di circa 5.000 mq. Al momento è articolato in due zona principali, quella circostante le residenze ed una più selvaggia rivolta verso il mare, completamente non costruita, articolata da radure e vegetazione tipica della zona.In prossimità degli edifici la natura si apre, integrandosi perfettamente con il costruito, creando un nuovo paesaggio.
