The DOT Scheme
Formalises and gives credit for what people already do
Provides an infrastructure and a website which offers:• guidance from a personal eMentor• Peer support network• Reviews by DOTs - websites + applications• How-to software guides • Diary for recording what the DOT does• Learning opportunities• OCN qualification (level 2/3)• something to add to CV + support job applications

Various levels of support:• Sheffield College supports the eMentors • The eMentors support the DOTs• DOTs/eMentors support each other
Easy to volunteer• No commitment to set time / place• Simply sign up atwww.makingitpersonal.org.uk
The diary
DOTs use the diary to record:• The help they give to others• Their own learning
The diary forms evidence for:• Approved status• The OCN qualification
