Williams as a health and wellness coach to assist our employees with nutrition, exercise, lifestyle habits, and personal consultation & training. Many of you already know Blake since he currently works in the Facility Operations Department. This service is at absolutely no cost to you and we con-sider it to be a very valuable benefit to help improve the health of our employees.

Employee of the Month

Laura Griffin was recently named as the Employee of the Month for July. Laura works in the Outpatient Services Depart-ment as the Assistant Direc-tor. She has been employed with Colquitt Regional Medical Center since July 1999. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her son, Ryder. They enjoy fishing and taking care of their animals.

Congratulations!

Wanda Wisenbaker was re-cently named as the Employee of the Month for August. Wan-da works in the Pharmacy De-partment as a Pharmacy Tech. She has been employed with Colquitt Regional Medical Cen-ter since May 2007. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Carl and daughter Hannah. They enjoy riding bikes on the bike trail. Wanda is very active in her church, Moultrie Church of Christ.

Charity & Future Funds Participation Winner At the Benefits Fair that was held on October 18-19, 2012, a drawing was held that included all em-ployees who participate in the Charity and Future Funds donation. Colquitt Regional Medical Center Foundation 20th annual Golf Tournament

Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation held its 20th annual golf tournament at Sunset Country Club Thurs., Oct. 4. The first place winners were sponsored by Osceola Supply. The team members included, from left, Pratt Cooper, Dustin Campbell and Rob Clayton. The team’s fourth player was Steve Campbell, not pictured. Pictured with the team and pre-senting the Herman Friedlander trophy is Ms. Ann Friedlander. Team members received $1,200 in gift cards to Wal-Mart and their names engraved on the Herman Friedlander Trophy. The second place winners, sponsored by Wayne Evans, received $1,000 in gift cards to The Home Depot. The team members included Ben Clayton, Josh Newton, Garrick Pas-chal and Doug Schwalls. The third place team, sponsored by Zaxby’s, received $800 in gift cards to Lowe’s. The team members included Bubba Mobley, Jake Mobley, Jack Montgomery and Mac Montgomery.

Involved and Giving Back!

Melanie Doppenberg with the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic educational organization donated teddy bears to Colquitt Regional Medical Center’s Oncology Department earlier this month. The patients were thrilled!

Thank you for your participation at the recent CEO forums. Communication is a vital key to any organiza-tion’s success. I am always open to your comments and questions and encourage them at any time. It doesn’t even have to be at a forum! In this newsletter, you will find topics discussed at the recent forums and the dis-position of those topics. I hope you will take the time to read and if you were not able to attend these forums, I hope to see you at the next.

Another event that drew a lot of attention this month was the Employee Benefits Fair. Colquitt Regional Med-ical Center provides an excellent selection of benefits for our employees. I encourage you to review options and make choices that are best for you and your family. I am extremely pleased with the addition of a Health & Wellness Coach and the Employee Assistance Program at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Thank you to the Human Resources Department for maintaining a competitive benefit package in times when many compa-nies are either decreasing or cutting out employee benefits totally.

The Moultrie YMCA offers memberships at a 20% discount. Payroll deduction is available for YMCA memberships. Also, Colquitt Re-gional Medical Center has partnered with the YMCA to assist health plan participants in meeting and maintaining wellness goals.

Mrs. Anne Carlton recently retired from the Hospital Authority Board after an extended term of 13 years of service. Mrs. Carlton was appointed to the board in 1998 and served in several capacities, including Secretary & Chairman of Quality Assurance, and Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee. Mr. Jim Matney, President and CEO of Colquitt Regional Medical Center, praised Anne Carlton’s leadership and ser-vice to the Hospital Authority, Anne truly has a passion for this community and was dedicated to ensure it had the best in healthcare. We are fortunate to have her as an ambassa-dor of our health system.
