SEAMLESS: DESIGNED FOR HOW PEOPLE WORK

Plantronics Aware, part of the Plantronics Spokes software portfolio, is an Android app developed for the Cisco DX Series. It provides seamless audio transfer between a smartphone and any Cisco DX Series device using the proximity detection of a Plantronics Voyager Family Bluetooth headset: Voyager Legend, Voyager Legend UC, Voyager Edge, Voyager Edge UC.

Now, back to Carl’s experience. Using proximity awareness to detect his Voyager Legend headset, the app senses his approach and the Cisco DX Series device automatically displays a message that provides Carl with the option to transfer his call to the Cisco DX Series device. If Carl has joined a video conference call, he can opt to transfer the conversation to his Cisco DX Series device, and Plantronics Aware will automatically connect the video call.

SECURE: ALWAYS-ON SECURITY

Plantronics Aware also offers another layer of security on top of the security capabilities already built into the Cisco DX Series. The smart lock automatically locks/unlocks the Cisco DX Series device screen using the proximity detection of a Voyager Bluetooth headset. The Plantronics Aware smart lock feature allows you to calibrate the lock/unlock distance for your headset, making it easy to configure a personal definition of “nearby” to match the security needs of your office layout.

The smart lock feature is easy to use. When a user walks away from their desk with their Voyager Bluetooth headset, Plantronics Aware detects their customized proximity setting and automatically locks their Cisco DX Series device screen as they move out of range.
