• Lebanon was descended from the Phoenicians, and was clamed to be the heart of all Phoenicia.

• Phoenicia had spread all around the middle east, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Egypt And more Arabian countries.

• Phoenician’s were the first to begin writing and making scripts.

Environmental Factors and Issues • There has been several severe environmental issues in

Lebanon for example, climate change, soil erosion, deforestation and there is a lot of pollution from burning industrial wastes in the capital of Lebanon Beirut, which then leaded us to pollution coastal waters oil spills and raw sewage.

• Lebanon used to be nicknamed The Second Las Vegas because of how amazing it looked, then Israel became Lebanon’s arch nemesis and because of war, Lebanon is practically desert and mountains. Some people don’t know what and where Lebanon is and it is a very poor country.

• In 2009 the population of Lebanon was 4,017,095 people.

• The land area is 3950 sq mi (10400 sq km)• Beirut is flat land and is surrounded by the

Lebanon Mountains• People normally live around the coastal line.• Beirut is the capital because it is right next to

the Mediterranean Sea where they could trade.

War with HezbollahHezbollah is a Lebanese man who went against his own country and sent

• On the east side of mount Lebanon’s range is the Bekaa Valley it’s very flat land that is around 16 km (10 mi) wide and 129 km (80 mi) long from north to south.
