MOVING BED BIO REACTOR (MBBR)

Technology Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) processes improve reliability, simplify opera�on,

and require less space than tradi�onal waste water treatment systems. MBBR technology

employs thousands of polyethylene biofilm carriers opera�ng in mixed mo�on within an

aerated wastewater treatment basin. Each individual biocarrier increases produc�vity through

providing protected surface area to support the growth of eterotrophic and autotrophic

bacteria within its cells. It is this high-density popula�on of bacteria that achieves high-rate

biodegrada�on within the system, while also offering process reliability and ease of opera�on.

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor systems deliver a flexible, cost-effec�ve, and easy-to-

operate means to address current wastewater requirements and the expandability to meet

Lamella

Clarifier Lamella Clarifier is used for serring of flocculated raw water treatment plants. The system

consist square tank with inclined plates or tube packs on the top por�on. In a lamella clarifier the se�ng

takes place on the media surface and the effec�ve se�ng area is equal to the media surface area.

Advantage of lamella clarifiers are :

Lamella clarifiers are significantly more compact than their conven�onal counterparts and

hence amenable to a pre-feb package design.

As steep hoppers are provided sludge removal is possible without the aid of mechanical

scrapers. As no, mechanical equipment is needed these systems are maintenance free.

As sludge slides down the lamella plants in to the underlying hopper, parts of the bound water in

the sludge is released thereby reducing the water content of the sludge.

Eddy currents and solids carry over due to win effects are eliminated as lamella plates arrest

wind penetra�on.

Softeners Makes India Clean is a leading provider of water so�eners to remove the inherent hardness of the water. Both

temporary and permanent hardness can be removed using our So�eners.

What is Hardness?

The measure of the capacity of water to precipitate soap is known as its hardness. It is caused due to the

presence of Calcium Ions (CA (2+) and MG (2+)). Other posi�ve ions like of Iron, Zinc and Manganese also cause hardness.

How does water become hard?

The water becomes hard by coming in contact with bivalent ions which are soluble. Calcium (CA) and

Magnesium (MG) are the two main types of ca�ons which causes hardness in the water. Calcium gets dissolved in water

as water comes in contact with limestone deposits. The magnesium gets dissolved in water as water passes through

dolomite and other magnesium containing minerals. As it is known that the ground water is more in contact with these

mineral forma�ons, the ground water is much harder than the surface water.

The other metals like aluminum, barium, iron, manganese and Zinc also cause hardness in the water their

concentra�on is usually not large in the water and thus they don’t contribute significantly to the hardness in the water.
